Updated a few weeks ago and not experienced and issues, logged on and found 4 errors logged:
im not sure what these are or could be causing them.

Possibly related but may not be:

Ive also realized the SMF logo inst in the upper right hand corner, i don't recall having changed anything but in config/current theme when i try to change or remove what is in the second screenshot and click save i am meet with an invalid token error ( third screen shot.)

Any insight?
( interestingly i have another forum wherein i DO have the SMF logo present and if i try to change anything in the current theme/configuration i receive the same invalid token error.

To add the only mod i have added to the forum is Image for
"Anti-Spam Verification Questions"
Just now i tried to edit the URL to a different verification image and received a Token verification error as seen in the screenshot i previously added

The issue is that if i try to change the entry or remove the entry in theme settings i am getting a Token Validation error.  This error is happening on several  in several aspects, for instance if i try to delete an alert that an incorrect password was entered for the admin( which was me when i mistyped the password logging on)

The only mod i have installed is Image for "Anti-Spam Verification Questions" and it was working for a good period of time without this issue.
Something is causing a Token Validation error.  I have cleared cookies/cache and it persists.
Using latest Firefox

Can you uninstall that mod temporarily and see if the issues will still happen? That's to see if the mod is the culprit or it can be ruled out as causing the issue.

Another thing, can you also check the server error log and see if there are any messages logged in there recently?

Ok, so..using Microsoft Edge as a browser instead of Firefox, i do not get any errors and i was able to make the changes to remove the logo and delete errors logs without issue.  It seems this is a Firefox issue.
That said, i have cleared everything i can think of in Firefox and the Token Validation error persists.

OK , so after several attempts of clearing cookies i restarted the PC ...now no errors on one forum:
https://www.casinoarizonapoker.com/
BUT still a token validation error with
https://greenfieldlakeshoa.com
I have deleted, cleared everything multiple times  i cannot get the second one to allow changes.
Ive checked the server settings/ cookies and sessions for each site and see these differences( not sure why they are different i dont recall changing either), is one beter or worse than the other?  Should i change the (try to if it will let me) the greenfield lakes settings to the same as the working site?

To add:  I have cleared the cookies , again.
restarted the PC and greenfieldlakes forum continues to give me token validation errors in firefox.  i AM able to make changes in MS edge and i have under maintenance/servers setting unchecked use subdomain independent cookies ( as as the other forum) to see if that had any affect.
It did not.
There are no errors reported  i just continually cannot manage that forum because of token validation errors.
No t sure how to proceed.

Token validation errors typically occur if you have multiple pages of the admin area open at the same time in different browser tabs. This is because the different browser tabs will keep overriding each other's tokens. To avoid this, it is best to only have a single tab open to the SMF admin area at any given time.

If you use a single browser tab and still see token validation errors, then something unusual is happening.
I promise you nothing.

you also cannot use the back button and edit an admin page and attempt to save, it gives that same error last i tried.

I was having issue with two sites.

I cleared cookies/cache/sessions in firefox and restarted the PC.

I into admin of https://greenfieldlakeshoa.com/  i get token validation errors whenever i try to administer anything.

If i close that tab and open and log into the admin panel at https://www.casinoarizonapoker.com/
It works fine.

IF i using MS edge i can admin either site without issue.

The sites were updated at the same time, they are configured as close to each other as possible and i have only one mod on each "Anti-Spam Verification Questions" it had been installed and i was able to admin either site without issue previously, something changed recently and i just cannot figure out what.

If i use FireFox Mobile the same issue exists

Not using the back button, issue still remains, cannot figure this out...why one works fine and the other doesn't, set up as close to the same as i can tell.  Is there a cache for cookies somewhere for smf on the server  that could be cuasing this?

Illori

can you check if both forums are using the same cookie name?

What is repair_settings.php?

this will show it to you, if they are the same you can change it on one of them and see if that helps, do be aware this will log out all your users.
