Subscriptions question

I have looked to see if this has been asked before but I can't see anything.

Is there a way to prevent some membergroups from seeing subscriptions?

Off the top of my head I'm not completely sure, but I don't think so - The subscriptions are designed as a way to allow people to gain access to restricted areas of the forum, and so restricting access to the subscriptions isn't an immediately obvious need.

A forum I inherited does not allow regular members to post attachments and it uses subscriptions to grant access to membergroups which have permission to post attachments (plus some other increased limits and mod related privileges).
