In a different topic, I was noticing that my main page was being flagged with an issue (noindex found for the meta robots).  My site is in the footer as well --> https://www.chickendinnergaming.com/ (which loads https://www.chickendinnergaming.com/forums/index.php).

  • Kindred tested on his sites and is not seeing the issue

I haven't used Google search for a long time because of long stories and life events. I just noticed this issue in the screenshot below:

Here is the warning on the noindex:

As mentioned in the previous thread, I can change the "noindex" to "index" in the index.template.php.  This solves the issue... but I'm sure that will cause other issues due to the conditional and properly applying noindex where necessary.  This happens on core (curve) and elemental themes the same.  noindex does not exist in my robots.txt.  The desktop page loads just fine (meta values - do not show noindex for robot in Google dev console, and safari console).  Google appears to be using the mobile... which when mobile loads, the meta value is there in test results from the test URL live link.

I know Google Search Console is not the be-all end-all or infallible... but has anyone else ran into this issue or currently experiencing this issue?  I cannot find any reason for it.
