Updated our old read only forum and can't log in

Hi guys,

I managed to upgrade our old read only forum and after doing so, changed back to the default smf theme, (we had been using Bend' to differentiate it from the active forum) and annoyingly now, ... whilst I can See a Log In button, when I click on it I am presented with a simple smf dialogue that simply says Error.

Any ideas, or suggestions on How I can gain access ??
