A similar thing happened to me. Check the itemcache.php file and see if you find two instances with the same information for itemcache. Remove one and it should do the trick.

We've just setup a new board with SMF 1.1.2 and installed ItemStats.  ItemStats works fine if and only if there is one item linked a message.  If you attempt to link a second item in a message the message will not post.  Any clue what's up with that?

Actually with a little more testing we've narrowed it down further.  It seems to only be a problem when you post a modification to a thread with more than one link.  You can make an original post with multiple links, but if you try to modify that post or add additional links to that post the post won't save.  As a work-around you can copy the data in the post, delete the text (except a placeholder), re-modify the post, past the data and add links.  Very weird.

Thats the thing, there are 2 instances.  One for the Joomla and one for the SMF.  I looked into the code of the Cache, nothing was in duplicate.  So I think I am up a creek without a paddle.

Another Problem..

If I use [wowitem=1,find]Itemname[/wowitem]

and after that in the same post i use
[wowitem=0,find]Itemname[/wowitem]  or [wowitem]Itemname[/wowitem]
ItemStats will still search @ alkazham. Same if I use any other options for the wowitem-tag. A Click on the grey link in the post doens't update the link. This Problem remains ONLY in this post where I wrote wowitem=1, find first.

You can have a look at it at hxxp:oor-gil.de/index.php?topic=512.0 [nonactive] User Schnorrer descripes the Problem (Post 6-8)(German)

DarkCloud14

Hi djsid,

I've tried it on my forum (http://www.darkcloud14.de/forum/index.php) and did the same thing Schnorrer
told ya but I couldn't reproduce that error.

Another thing if you post the tags in this order:

1) [wowitem=1,find]Itemname[/wowitem]

2) [wowitem=0,find]Itemname[/wowitem]

3) [wowitem]Itemname[/wowitem]

and click the third link to update the tag it will use allakhazam that's true
but it's doing that because it just uses the last source which is saved in database
and in this case the last source for this item is allakhazam.

So to update the item click on the first link cause here it'll get the information for
the source from the link and that worked fine for me..

Hi,

Just to point out that you will need to manually create one folder images in your forum root dir. That folder will need to contain 3 missing files:

yellowsocket.png
bluesocket.png
redsocket.png

I have attached the missing files to the post.

Cheers.
You also might want to add the pic of the metasocket gem. And ps: the files go into a directory /images of the root of your server, not the root of the SMF install.

CrystalTears

Darkcloud updated the mod to include the missing socket information so as not to need manual changing.

@starrbuck:
dreadk created such a mod but it'll also be in the next version of smf itemstats.
hxxp:www.therisenguild.net/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item2 [nonactive]
That's the link where you can get dreadks mod. Ok at the moment there site is down but
maybe it'll be online again maybe sooner than the new smf itemstats version.

I'm on vacation at the moment and don't work very often on the new version..

The above mod is not configured for SMF 1.1.2, however it DOES work if you simply change the following lines within the package-info.xml:

<install for="1.1 RC2, 1.1 RC3, 1.1, 1.1.1">

to

<install for="1.1 RC2, 1.1 RC3, 1.1, 1.1.1, 1.1.2">

Make this edit, rezip the package, and it installs fine, works as intended (on the default theme).

EDIT - BTW, thanks a lot for the ItemStats mod, it is awesome! :D

Hi...  I just installed this version after uninstalling the version from the "free.fr" site...  I had a couple of questions.

The old version had images that it would apply to the formatting bar that would allow the item...  Does this version not do that?  Perhaps I need to customize my Theme.

Also, I saw someone else ask this but saw no reply...  Is there no available [itemico] tag in this version?

Anyone's help is greatly appreciated.

DarkCloud14

SWW sorry at the moment the current version doesn't have a [itemico] tag already
working on a new version but at the moment I don't have much time so this version
will take much longer then I first thought :( But it'll have something like this and you'll
be able to configure everything over the admin panel and some other things...

SWW

Cool.  I'm just glad to have ItemStats back, one way or the other!  Thanks for working on this, my friends and I greatly appreciate it!

I'm running SMF 1.1.2 and it works just fine... with one exception.
When loading/viewing an item for the first time, it causes and error in IE and goes to a 404 error.  After refreshing the page and trying again it works just fine.

I just tried to recreate the error and this time I couldn't (go figure).  Anyone else have this experience??

I orginally thought this was like "a first time load" type deal, however yesterday while adding items, I received that IE error several times for the same item.
Again, refreshing the page "fixes" it, however its extremly annoying when trying to preview a post, you get the error, then you have to refresh and retype your post.  Here is a screen shot of the error:
hxxp:dracon32.net/defcon/itmestats%20IE%20error.JPG [nonactive]

Any ideas??

DarkCloud14

Hmm sorry don't know what it could be. Maybe it's because allakhazam is slow at that moment or you've added to much new
items which aren't already stored in your database. Then maybe such a thing could happen cause the operation timesout?!?

Just a guess, I'm really not sure what it could be.

compbry15

Hey Im just wondering if the "major" update is still being developed?  And will it work with Joomla? :)

DarkCloud14

Sure still working on it but not really often at the moment cause I don't have much time atm so
I'll release it when it's done... And no this is not a Duke Forever when it's done  :P

Jesse Jericho

I would donate $20 to have Wowhead coded into this ;)

I have this exact same problem. Any way to fix it?

I'm using Joomla! 1.0.12 Stable and SMF 1.1.2 with WoW-Itemstats 1.25.6.
ItemStats works beautifully in SMF, but when I installed on Joomla!, I get this error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class itemcache in <itemstats dir>/includes/itemcache.php on line 8
