How did you go about installing into Joomla?  Did you install it separately or did you reuse any of the smf item stats?

I installed it as per the instructions on hxxp:itemstats.free.fr/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.23 [nonactive]. Anyway now I took out the SMF itemstats and only installed it on Joomla!

Got a wowhead parser working nicely on my Joomla and eqdkp sites thanks to a mod that's been made available in the last couple of days. Would be nice to see the code incorporated into SMF Itemstats, not sure where to start with SMF's package installer process myself.

More info on the wowhead mod for Itemstats hxxp:forums.eqdkp.com/index.php?showtopic=9342 [nonactive].

Alright, I can't seem to get it to work. When trying to use the .tar or .zip file, SMF will highlight the .xml files (like wowitemstats-install_1_0_5.xml) and say the addon is not compatible with the current version of SMF. If I choose to proceed anyway, I get a blank screen. What gives?

Kan5478

just a short note... i installed SMF to 1.1.2 today... and when i went to package manager there was a security update to 1.1.3...

itemstats only works with 1.1.2... if you update it to 1.1.3 it says the file is not compatible...

so i had to uninstall 1.1.3 to make itemstats work...

padhg

i updated to 1.1.3 yesterday through the package manager... all of my mods seem to be working fine (including itemstats), however, after upgrading to 1.1.3, i no longer have the option to uninstall any of the existing mods.

Kan5478

did you upgrade before installing itemstats? or did you upgrade with itemstats installed?

padhg

#328
upgraded after itemstats was installed.

EDIT: to install itemstats directly onto 1.1.3, you will need to edit the package-info.xml to add "1.1.3" to the list of supported SMF versions for the installer.

Hello, and thanks for this great mod, simplify my life alot. Ive installed smf1.1.2 then your mod with default them, then reverted to my original theme without any problem, its working great.

Im sorry if this sound dumb but i gotta ask, is there an easy code change or config change i can do to disable the icons it shows on mouse over all together? I just want the item name and stats without the item graphic if it makes sense hehe.

Thanks again for this mod, two thumbs up.

While i like the graphics myself i think that would make a good addition to the mod. By that i mean an option to turn the graphic on or off.  edit ... Hey DC just curious but when will we be able to get that version where we can select the database it uses.

Hi Abeille, at the moment you can't change something in the config file to show/hide the icon.
But since there's a new version of SMF out I've to update my mod anyway and I can add something like that if you want.

@MoreBloodWine: The problem I've is that I need to change the database or better itemstats table layout.
At the moment e.g. the item name is primary key so you won't be able to have more than
one item with e.g. the name "Stone" in your database even if there is another item called
stone but has different stats...

I've started a poll in my forums so here's the link please tell me what to do..

Hey,

Has anyone come up with a definative solution to the "itemcache" issue that occurs when you have a SMF bridged with Joomla?  I've tried several solution listed here, including renaming the table, applying the SSI changes from the author's website, and checking for duplicate data/files.  Currently I see none and I'd love to have this functionality for my website.

Any and all help is appreciated, this really is a great mod, if only I can get it to work without messing up my homepage :P

Hello DC, I keep getting errors now..don't know what happened.

I am using SMF 1.12 with latest Itemstats at FreeBSD based server running "Apache/2.2.4 (FreeBSD) mod_ssl/2.2.4 OpenSSL/0.9.7e-p1 DAV/2 PHP/5.2.1 with Suhosin-Patch Server".

I keep getting the following errors (from smf error log):

2: file_get_contents(hxxp:www.buffed.de/?f=Steelhawk+Crossbow [nonactive]) [<a href='function.file-get-contents'>function.file-get-contents</a>]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed!
File: /usr/home/user/public_html/ar/Sources/itemstats/includes/urlreader.php
Line: 53

--------------

2: file_get_contents(hxxp:wow.allakhazam.com/dev/wow/item-search.pl?itemname=Handwraps+of+Flowing+Thought&showall=1&locale=enUS&search=1 [nonactive]) [<a href='function.file-get-contents'>function.file-get-contents</a>]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.1 502 Proxy Error

File: /usr/home/user/public_html/ar/Sources/itemstats/includes/urlreader.php

Soo..what should I do with it? I have no clue how to fix it as I am not 'coder' at all..

As you can see from error message, I tried both sites for getting item data but it didn't work.  :(

Hoping to get fast reply for this..thanks

I'm pretty sure this has to do with your PHP configuration on the server.  You should be able to fix it by adding the following line to your PHP.INI configuration file.

allow_url_fopen = On

Could you also add the thing not to write wowitem tags..do it instead with "item" tags..
How do I add a button to message writing page to make item tags ready for users just by pressing a button?
I saw this in some very old previous one but it disappeared at some point..

Thanks for swift reply btw, gotta poke my sysadmin to enable that option to my //home/public_html ;D

Abeille, I've replied, reseted and added another option to the poll if possible vote again.
Thanks.

HighCast, it should be already possible to use the "item" tags..
At the moment I've just planned to add this button thing to the next major version
but before I do anymore development on the next major version please vote
here cause it's something that I need to know for the next major version too.
(Remember major means version jump from e.g. 1.25.6 to 1.30.0 and not 1.25.6 to 1.25.7)

lamapuppy, sorry not yet but maybe I can add support for Joomla too with the next major version..
have to check the package system etc. of Joomla out :)

Hey dc what i meant by database is the site where it pulls the item stats from. A while back there was talk going around about adding a feature that would allow us to select the site it pulls the item stats from. As for the guy that asked about a button to make the "linking" of items easier all you have to do is edit the post.template.php file to achieve this , its what i did and it works flawlessly.

DarkCloud,

First, thanks for porting the plugin.  I was wondering if you'd considered creating a version that referenced the new Blizzard Armory directly, instead of a 3rd party site.  I believe such a thing has been done for the phpbb version, because a lot of people are very wary of malicious code that's present on the 3rd party database sites, if only because they don't want to use/support/reference such sites. I don't know if a plugin like this is a hazard with what it pulls from allakhazam or whatever else, but I imagine some people would much prefer referencing Blizzard's site directly, even if there is no hazard.

Thanks,
Rasm(frackn)
