@taydus: if you want I can take a look at it. PM me the site and if possible AIM, ICQ or MSN contact so I may contact you if needed.
Oh I need a temporary admin account or at least an account with which I can check the error log and install/uninstall packages...

thanks

before someone asks, I'm working on a SMF 1.1.4 and 1.0.12 compatible version!

Nordoelum

I have stopped playing WoW. But really great that you wanted to do a update on your mod :)

Keep up the good work.  I know it must take some serious time adjusting this for every version of SMF.

DarkCloud14

Not really at the moment it's enough by just adding the new version to the installation xml
but just couldn't get the time to try it out if it's the same with this version too..

Can you tell me if you are working on the [itemico] tag? I would really love to have the pic instead of the verbiage for links. Has anyone else made the modification to allow this? If so, can you link a download here for it?

Thanks..

I thought of an user choice. So the user can select if he wants to see just the icon, text or icon and text would that be ok?!?
Or do you really want something to always show the icon?!

bighealbob

Hi DarkCloud,

Excellent Mod..

Was wondering if you had any ETA on the 1.4 compatible version?

Cheers

DarkCloud14

The choice would be nice, but if the choice is simply in the tag ie: wowitem - wowicon - wowboth etc....

that would suit more peoples needs i would imagine. Personally, I am just interested in having the Icon, I will export all of the verbiage from one of my other databases to get the name posted next to the icon if desired.

DarkCloud14

sorry no release yet.  Found some bugs that I've to hunt down first before I release it.
In the meantime you can try the following: http://www.darkcloud14.de/forum/smf_itemstats_table_layout-t107.0.html;msg554#msg554

DarkCloud14

Sorry still no release yet, I just don't get the time at the moment because I'm busy from my work, I get home late and
most time I just chill the rest of the day (only a few hours at the moment then I've to sleep again to get to work again xD)
so please try the fix mentioned in the following topic: http://www.darkcloud14.de/forum/smf_itemstats_table_layout-t107.0.html;msg554#msg554

I will get on it again as soon as I've more time again. Sorry guys but I'm just a human ;)

I got a problem :) When I am trying to install the mod (after edited as the fix sais) I get this :

nstalling this package will perform the following actions:
Type Action Description
1. Execute Code add_settings.php
2. Execute Modification wowitemstats-install_1_1_rc.xml Modification parse error
3. Execute Modification - Modification parse error
4. Execute Modification wowitemstats-install_1_1_rc-en.xml Modification parse error
5. Execute Modification - Modification parse error
6. Execute Modification wowitemstats-install_1_1_rc2-rc3-de.xml Modification parse error
7. Execute Modification - Modification parse error
8. Extract File ./Sources/UpdateWoWItem.php
9. Extract Tree ./Sources/itemstats
10. Extract Tree ./Themes/default/itemstats

And when I press install, I get this  :

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/ricardo1/domains/concept-guild.eu/public_html/smf/Packages/temp/./add_settings.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/ricardo1/domains/concept-guild.eu/public_html/smf/Sources/Packages.php on line 552

Anyone knows how can I fix it? Im using SMF 1.1.4 / TP 0.9.8. No other mods installed.

Thanks,
mOOwalker

DarkCloud14

Have you already tried it with a clean install of SMF 1.1.4 without TP?
I've tested it on a clean install with the mentioned fix and it works fine for me.

Is Safemode of PHP enabled?? Someone told me that he had a problem with safemode enabled..

Oki.Just tested. Installed SMF 1.1.4 with both webinstall and manual install. Not working. Im having the same problem again. I also did a MASS chmod 777 to all the files of SMF, but didnt work either. And is there any possibility I can make a manual install?

I also checked about safe_mode and its on. Should I request to turn it off? Is there any risk doing it so?

EDIT * I installed 1.1.3 version and I have the exact same error. So must be something with the PHP running at the hosting company. Is there something I can check?

Hi guys!

Here's my idiotic problem which has been annoying me for the last few hours:

I installed itemstats on my SMF 1.1.3 with issues, but I fixed them with your help. Finally, the thing is installed correctly. /cheer

I go over to the forum to test it for the first time and absolutely nothing happens, and i mean nothing. It's like SMF has no idea what I'm talking about when i write [wowitem]. I've used it on other sites before, so its not that I'm writing it wrong or anything. I preview the post and just get the text the same way I wrote it.

What it is? I'm sure it's something really stupid, my brain is kind of shutdown by now, but i really don't know what else to do now.

Pls help?

DarkCloud14

looks like the mod didn't install correctly even if package manager says everything installed correctly...
Don't know what could cause that, maybe wrong folder rights/settings?!?

hyjax

I am having this error displayed at the top of everypage of my forums

$txt['itemstats'] = 'WoW Itemstats';

and is producing this error in the SMF forum log

8: Undefined index: itemstats
File: /home/loadedgu/public_html/forum/Themes/default/languages/Post.english.php (main sub template - eval?)
Line: 779

the error only hits the logs when someone posts a new thread or replies.  I am currently using SMF 1.1.4 but the errors have been there for a while, itemstats works just fine other than these errors.

DarkCloud14

huh which version of SMF Itemstats do you use or do you use itemstats from http://itemstats.free.fr/ ??
I searched my code but couldn't find something like that..

hyjax

im using WoW-Itemstats 1.25.7
