Front page SSI on "News and Notables" doesnt seem to have parsed the BBCode

hmmm... at first i didnt realise what you mean
but yea its not displaying the result right, just the bbcode

The BBC is not parsed on purpose.  Think about the affect if you parsed the BBC and then truncated it to the propere length.  You could easily cut off the end tag.  You really can't use the "Well just go to the end of the tag" because what if the first thing is an opening tag and it's closer isn't until the end of the post?
