if the mod is installed without errors than all that is needed is any of the template files that the mod edits that are present in your custom theme folder.

im getting errors...
i dont fully understand what you are saying.

perplexed

Did the mod install without errors or 'test failed' on any of the files when you installed it?  If so, that's what is meant by 'installed without errors'

The Mod only installs on the SMF Core default theme.  If you use any other theme then you will have to edit the files in the other theme to make the mod show up there.  If you are getting 'parse' errors that is because you are not editing the files correctly.

Use the link to the package parser in my signature, unzip the mod package into it and follow the instructions therein, to edit your files.  It is very straight forward, just take your time and follow it exactly.  You will only need to edit the files that it tells you to edit and you may not have all the files in your custom theme.

Try that and see how you go

Get yourself a good editor with a good search feature in it. One like "php designer" That will help you out a lot.

You can center the ads through the admin panel; no need to do anything with the code.

<center>ad_code</center>

OR

<div align=center>ad_code</div>

www.consoleplanet.co.uk

Bigguy

There is no ad management link in your admin cp ???

lakelady

I installed this mod today and was looking forward to using it for some rotating banners on my site. Everything seems to have installed just fine but I can't seem to get any ads to show up anywhere. I'm using simple html code for the banners ( <img src="location"/> ). SMF 1.1.4 and TP 0.98

I've enabled Ads in permissions and double and triple checked  the html code, checked boxes for ads to show up at the bottom of the page and after the last post. I've even tried a few other check boxes but NOTHING is working and I'm stumped!

please help

link to my site in my signature

thanks

Bigguy

Are you using a custom theme. ???

lakelady

nope, not a custom theme. All I've done is change the CSS and a few small graphics of the default theme.

Bigguy

What errors are in your error logs. ??? What mods do you have installed. ???

lakelady

only errors were from an ichat mod (looks like I need to look into that as well)

here 's the list of mods (not all in active use - e.g. thankyou & karma)

jerm

FYI everyone. There is a version of the mod out for SMF 2.0 beta 3 Public.
