Epsilon is a light-colored theme I made some time ago, and was default theme up on Bloczone a long time. Since then it has been lying dormant, so I have changed it a bit to be used on regular SMF installations. Features include 3 "user-boxes" that you can fill with any HTML content. Beware that the theme is a bit inflexible: it will not work well on screens below of 800x600, creating scrollbars.

Theme and graphics are free to use within a SMF forum context.

1st of all, i would like to express my fascination for SMF forums ! i just love it ! Have been using phBB2 but no more !

i would like to know if im able to RE-Design completly the EPSILON design template?

i want to add a flash banner up in the header and modify the footer signature by adding Re-Designed by ORAS.

Also im trying to change the Background light blue color , is it from the css file or ?

The footer is made up of 3 files..bot-left.gif, bot-right.gif and an background image for the middle part. The middle part is using a css class named "bot"..and looking at style.css would have given you this info:

I don't see why not? Its only html code, and that you can insert into the "html box" for the header. Or...change the index.template.php with the code needed.

Hi there. The post icons do not seem to work in this theme. Is there a way to shut it off - or to fix the problem. I also do not know how to install the modification file.

Are you using the correct version of the theme on your SMF installation? Normally when post icons dispappera its because someone use 1.1rc2 version of Epsilon on a SMF 1.0.7 site.

If you have the correct one, make sure all files are there, check if the folder Epsilonxx/images/post exists and contain images.

Is there any problem with using this theme with RC3?  Epsilon has been what I based my template on (although I changed the colors).  I've gotten a lot of compliments on it and I am reluctant to upgrade to RC3 if it'll break the template.

It won't break..but it doesn't have support for the utf-8 in forms for example..not sure if it will actually damage anything, but if you want to be totally sure, you could hold off rc3 until the theme is updated.

I'm using SMF 1.1 RC3 and it's working fine.
It's a very pretty layout, I must say.

I've got a question:
How do I change my banner into full-length?
Your theme/banner uses 3 different parts to make up into a full banner (logo, logo-mid & top-right).

And also, is it possible to add a media-player? I wanna add it below the news section at the user info.

To show a full length picture is not possible I am afraid, not in this theme. Its based on a left static part, a middle repeating part and right static again.

Media-player? If its html code for it, just find "news" in index.template.php and add it after that section's html code.

But do you know why in chinese-simplified-utf8 environment the ">>" become "?" ?
