I'm trying to create a board whereby we can communicate w/ the public.  But I don't want the threads to be public.  I want only the User who created the thread to be able to read his own thread along w/ whatever responses he got.

So if a user starts a thread asking a question about something, and an admin posts an answer to the thread, then he can only see his own thread.

Admins will be able to see all the posts and threads on the board.

Consequently, new pple to the board will basically see an empty board w/ no posts.

Does anyone know if SMF has this feature available?

If you want this, install the Read Topics Permission mod. :)

I did some research, but I'm still confused.  What mod do I need to install exactly?  Does anyone know the name and have a link?

I want to setup a customer service forum whereby only the poster can see his own threads, but the admins would be able to view all threads.

Thanks.
