SMF Version: SMF 1.0.7
Hello!

I have looked for such an error on the forum but no one get's the same. Perhaps the same error number (501) but I don't find about the availability or not of the AUTH command.

The subject is the message that my log gives me.

I have seen that in Joomla I can choose if I want to use AUTH or not. There is selected "Yes" use AUTH and it works, I was able to get mails from my homepage.

But with SMF? I have already double checked all the coordinates about the SMTP server and they are right (the same as those I'm using on joomla).

Perhaps is Joomla disturbing? Note: Joomla and the SMF forum aren't integrated.

Anyone can help me out?

Thank you so much.

Hi.

Does somebody knows if SMF supports AUTH?

At this point I'm thinking that this it's not the case. That would at least explain my problem.

I should then check if I can work it out with some other option: perhaps something like this could help, but as noob as I'm, I don't know if I can apply this "package" to SMF or not.

Bye.
