New Install, No text in message bodies.

I blew it and got everything tweaked before making an effort to post.  The site is fully functional except now I have no text within my posts except a big 0. The subject or title text is there but no message body. Im  not sure where to look to resolve the issue.  The database for SMF is incoperated with my mambo database files ( I was under the impression they had to be ). So I can edit it out of the SQL Databse if needed and start over from scratch. I really dont want to do this but it may be the path of least resistance. Any input or comment you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
