Great work, I love it!
Say, where did you get the "non-alive" Versions of these Smilies?
I'd like to combine animated and static ones in my forum ...  ;D

Mike

Don't remember really...... :-\

These are VERY neat.

I also think an animated "Laugh" smiley would be a great, almost needed, addition.

Webby

Which one do you mean by that "laugh" smiley ?

I noticed that in the two smiley sets that came with SMF, they each came with a smiley named "laugh.gif".

Since they are static, they are basically just open mouth type of smileys. But it would be cool if there could be an "alive" Laugh smiley.

I'd think that might mean that it might look similar to the one you have for "grin.gif". Usually, when I've seen an animated Laugh smiley, they are similar to that one, but move faster (you could even make the eyebrows move).
Something like this:

Looks great!

I just hope it's distinguishable enough from the "Grin" one.

Thanks! I appreciate it.

I said something because I noticed that a lot of other sets and the two sets that came with the two built in themes (I installed mine from cPanel) came with a "laugh.gif" smiley. So, this would be the only one without it and, when going to make a post, intead of seeing an actual graphic there, there'd be text, instead.

I would love to see these smilies on SMF.org, but maybe I have to pay one of the admin's lots of dough for that first :D

First, you've a really good animators eye, and I like these alot, but.....

....is the 51K file size a bit excessive for a smile? My guess is that it would take about 8-10secs on dialup to load that smile alone.

Can you reduce the file size significantly without loosing much of the animation?

Depending on the program he uses, some hefty optimisation and fram duplicating only showing changes could bring it down pretty well.
