[Request] Membergroup on Registration 2.0RC2

I'm still finding my way around RC2. Is there a way to require a membergroup selection upon registration? OR, is there a mod? OR, could someone build a mod?

Amazing how people can be smart____ sometimes. I've been around a while and am pretty familiar with search, and I even came across that mod. But the thing is, that mod does not appear to do what I am asking for...

require a membergroup selection upon registration

The key word is selection. I'm not wanting to force members into 1 group. I'm wanting to force members to select from a list of groups. Let's suppose I'm building a favorite foods forum, I would then make registering members select from:

Pizza Lovers
Burger Kings
Sandwich Heros
Hotdog Hounds
.
.

You get the drift. I wouldn't want to make everyone a "Pizza lover"... make sense?

I do appreciate the suggestion though.

Ill find it very useful and I tried to do it myself taking Nas's mod as a base but with  poor results at the moment,  however I will continue to play around with it until I get what I want

The reason I didn't get the drift before is because it was somewhat unclear as to what was going on.

With every mod request be as detailed and specific as you can. We even have a set of guidelines on how to request a mod.

No sweat. Again, thanks for the suggestion. And I think, if NAS has the chance, it would be a great addition to his mod.
