(request) A unique pop up thumbnail mod for forums with galleries

What im looking for is best described in the picture below.  This mod would mostly be used for forums that display galleries from the free photo hosting site, www.imagevenue.com.

How it works is that you place your cursor on the link and it gives you a few thumbnail popups of what the gallery looks like.

I've spoken to the Admin. of the site (pictured below) and asked him for some info about this mod of his.  It sounds like he just paid for someone to do it for him.  He didnt know much about the script.  This is one nice mod that he has and im wondering if someone can write a script for this.  Im pretty certain that this script is tailored to only show www.imagevenue.com images, and that's what i would like.  Im also willing to negotiate a fee if someone is willing to do this for me.

Depends. Do you want the script to only source out images from Image Venue, or do you want to be able to source out images from the SMF Gallery modification? (seeing how you said forums with galleries).

Yes, im sorry.  I want it to only be able to see photos from imagevenue.


LIke in the above image.  The Paris Hilton thread leads to a gallery of Pairs Hilton pictures that are host on IV

That shouldn't be that difficult then. I'm able to write/obtain a script that will display this "thumbnail" effect, but I don't know about this Image Venue site. All I can see is that the site only allows submissions. I can't find a public gallery or browse function.

yes, you upload your files and it gives you code.  Here's code for one file. Not sure if this helps. I can send you a link to that site in the screenshot. Not sure if that will help though.

I don't know where to source it. It appears to me that its on hundreds of domains.

I could do it for Google or Yahoo.

mm, thats just the template parsing the PHP or Javascript code that was made to make it work. Won't help me that much.

No, users do NOT activate this function.  When they post a gallery  of photos to a thread the forum (script) automatically makes the link to the gallery hoverable.   

I found this just now and it's almost what i need, however instead of a preview of the thread (text description) I want to preview 3-4 thumbnails that are hotlinked to imagevenue.

Maybe get permission from the mod author to use his code to help develop this one for me

If you can get to that original site (the one blocked by your firewall) that might give you a good indication of what im looking for.

Actually, I found a website preview modification that contains a pop-up image script. I'll see if I can get permission to use that for this modification.

Once I finish the script, I'll get it to work on SMF, then package it. I'd need help packaging the mod however. I don't really know XML much. x.x

I noticed your request at DynamicDrive, and may I ask, why this script doesn't work? It even uses CSS, as opposed to Javascript for the popup.

That script is **KINDA*** what im looking for.  However, it's not like the script that is used here:

As you can see it links to a few thumbs that are hosted on imagevenue.com

Furthermore, the script found on the above site automatically makes all subject titled links popup thumbs.  I think with the script that you pointed out is used only when the user codes their links.

I hope im clear.  Best thing to do is take  a look at the above link to see it in full effect to see what i mean.

I dont know maybe im missing something. Am I?
