First there will come Mambo 4.6.4 ;)

The Mambo-Foundation is working hard on the new version 4.7. But it will take some will for an public beta. But 4.7 will be worth waiting for ;)

For those how are interested there is some information standing on Mambo-Foundation.org.

It actually looks like JFusion will work out-of-the-box with 1.5.1 & 1.1.4.  I'd actually love to hear from anyone else who's done a 1.0.x/1.1.4/bridge > 1.5.1/1.1.4/JFusion upgrade.  My hosting's currently only offering the 1.5.1 upgrade path from a 1.0.13 install  ::)

Has anyone got anything to report on this option ?

Have anybody a link to some nice and clear instructions on exactly the steps and actions required to switch to Mambo?

Still using Joomla 1.0.12 and SMF 1.1.4 bridged.

Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support boards.  Thank you.

I continued running Joomla! 1.012 and SMF 1.14 for my operational sites. I want to say here and now that the SMF-bridge is superior to the 'other' bridge made by Joomla-guys. Thank you again for all the effort and time you took to make the bridge so excellent. Now for the future:

I installed a new development-site running Joomla 1.52 and SMF 1.14 interconnected by JFusion. JFusion is far from finished and has alfa-status but it looks promising for those who want a portal 'around' SMF. It is not interesting for those who want a portal with forum-support since JFusion uses the forum-database.

I looked long and hard at going back to Mambo, but it seems to me that Mambo is slowly fading away. There is little or no activity at their forum, ans hardly any development on components.
Of course I could be wrong but I feel safer to stick to joomla...

So today I'm upgrading my site to Joomla 1.5.14 and SMF 1.1.10, using JFusion as a bridge.
In a test environment JFusion seems quite good. Maybe a little slower than the old bridge, and the discussbot (and forum new topics) isnt as nice as the one I have used before, but I'll see if I can tweak it after the main functionality is in place...

I made the switch to JFusion from the bridge several months ago. It's worked well so far. The user sync feature leaves something to be desired (or I still haven't figured out the correct setup) as it creates a new user if I change a username in Joomla with Joomla set as master. :shrugs shoulders: I would like to follow your implementation so please keep us updated. -thanks!

I finally made the decision to ditch Joomla; running Simpleportal & SMF 2.0 RC1.2 and I couldn't be happier. Looking forward to RC2 (Curve).
