Hi,

I'm very keen for the member blogs... looking forward to it.

Thanks.

Charles Hill

That comment is by SMF about something else that has nothing to do with my blog mod.  You added the single quotes in the wrong place.  It should be '$context[current_topic]'

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare modifyblogsettings() (previously declared in /home/site/public_html/Sources/ModSettings.php:521) in /home/site/public_html/Sources/ModSettings.php on line 610

It automatically added in sources/modsettings.php as I looked into it. How to fix this?

Charles Hill

@JoshieDaMan...
That means that you have more than one instance of the function declaration in ModSettings.php.  Simply remove one of the instances of function modifyblogsettings() (and all the stuff in the brackets for that function declaration) from your Sources/ModSettings.php file.

Hi Charles,

Any idea on the release of the version you are testing?

I'm excited at the prospect of member blogs.

It's really coming along now.  Most of the stuff left to do is minor, except for the overhaul of the blog admin area.  I'm going to get rid of Features and Options >> Blog Settings and replace Blog Categories on the left admin menu with Blog Control Panel.  You can test it outa while I'm working on it at http://dev.degreesofzero.com/index.php (username: test   password: test)

That'll be a whole lot better, great change! Man I'm so looking forward to see SMF 2.0 go stable...

1.09 already?

I might wait a couple more days to see if there's any more small bugs.

Charles Hill

Reasonable I suppose.  I am using it on my main site already.  No problems.

When I go to make a blog with my test account, it says: You are not allowed to administrate this forum. when trying to make a blog. I setup the permissions right.

Charles Hill

Only admins can access the blog control panel in the admin area.  Non-admins must use the one in their Profile.

Yup I know. The profile is where I am trying to make the new blog.

Another great mod.

Will you be upgrading it for SMF 2?

Ok I figured out what the problem was.  I'll add the fix to v1.10.

@Tony
Yes once 2.0 goes final.

Additional notes:
I've decided that for add-ons and extra features I'll be making additional mod packages just for the soul purpose of using in conjunction with this mod.

All changes made to this mod package will be minor bug fixes.

edit---
If you have 1.09 installed already... all you have to change is Profile.template.php (just replace the old template_blogControlPanel function with the new one).

Did you create those blogs via the blog control panel?  Also do u have hide blogs on board index checked in the admin-only blog options window of your blog control panel?
