Ugh. I just upgraded to 2.0.1 and now I'm getting this when I go to the SPortal Admin.

Forgot that change in the upgrade. Will add to the update tomorrow.

For now do this:

SPortalAdmin.php

Find:

Code Select Expand

global $txt, $scripturl, $context, $settings, $sc, $sourcedir

Replace:

Code Select Expand

global $txt, $scripturl, $context, $settings, $sc, $sourcedir, $db_prefix

Let's make sure that it doesn't get lost.

I am getting an "Unable to load the 'main' template." error when attempting to post a reply, post a new topic, or modify an existing post.  Any ideas?

Why not using the Package Manager? If you will install manually just copy it to your SMF root and call from browser.

About the template error you are getting; you probably made a mistake while installing it manually. Use the package parse here [nofollow] as the one in the mod site have some problems with it.

[SiNaN]  - I got it working, I did lots of google seach about mod_security and mod_security2 and what I found was basically that sometimes it can't be disabled on the 'user' side, sometimes the host must do it.

I logged a ticket with my host and they opened up the rules a bit and its all working great now...  - thanks for your help in getting me to the answer - its appricated!

last 'request' - how about a simplified 'mobile/wap/lo-fi' version of SP too

I have SimplePortal 2.0 installed and working fine.
Just one quick question, how do I get it to be the home page? ie: when someone logs the forum url, they see the portal page 1st.

You have to enable it in the "SPortal Admin" area, check the "Portal is active?" setting.

in the night I made the upgrade to 2.0.1 and everything works perfect.
I added the $db_prefix manual to the SPortalAdmin.php have I to upgrade to
2.0.2 or isn't it for need?

Sorry SiNaN, the RSS thing is still screwy. If you look on my site, the feed all currently say they are posted by me instead of the designated user. Also, on the side bar where it says Total Users, it used to give the number of all of the users of my site, now it only says the number of users online.

Update it, because it makes some other changes too. You do not need to take the fix back if you've already done it. Do not be afraid of updating, I always test them.
