Sitemap, I doubt it, gallery files and URLs will be indexed if they're open to guests, which includes images going into Google Image Search

Pretty much with Arrantor said in order to be index you must have your gallery open to guests and the sitemap mods probably do not include any mods.

Yes but first try to get the gallery working at least on the default theme I would try the manual install instructions on the modsite.

Sounds like me you are having an issue with the SMF package manager if you can't get ezPortal to work either I would make a post in the general support area and see if support has an idea to fix it. It would probably be faster than manually editing files too.

With RC3 you have the option to try to install on other themes when you install a mod.

If that doesn't work. You would just do the theme edits for the mod itself.

In fact now that I think about I don't think this mod does any theme edits for RC3

Dont make assumptions.  I figured it out myself by reading on some threads on how themes work and did not feel reasoning to leave the posts up.  I got the mod working now.

Hi,

As this is a very long thread by now I hope you dont my me asking this without going trough all the topics since 2006.

My car enthousiast club has a website built on SMF. We are struggling with the pictures people post. Especially when the posts get older and pictures are removed from photobucket or sites like that. With time this leaves worthless threads.

With this package, are we able to upload pic's inside a post and store the image on our own server? Like, "click on post a pic, select a pic, and done?" Maybe that this picture is being stored in a usermap?

You can do that with SMF's attachment system just add an attachment to a post then select the image file from your computer and then it will saved on your site's server
