The upgrade was very easy as usual. The only problem I had was that after upgrading there was a blank category and blank board inside it which I could not edit through the Manage Boards section. But it was no problem, I simply deleted it using MYSQL.  ;)

What?  The upgrader shouldn't even be able to do that.

Quote+ There is an inline theme previewer when editing the CSS file. You can view any page on your board on it also. (Very Cool!)

Thanks, that's my work ;).  It's not perfect, though - at least, yet.

You have not uploaded all of the files.  Again, if you are not comfortable with beta versions, please do not install this upgrade.

!Hachi!

thank you very much at last there it is.yesss

Please all remember before you update, most of 1.0.x MODs wont work with this beta. Downgrade isnt possible. Make backup with all your files, including msql database, before you upgrade this version.

where do i find a list of all the new features the changes log is slightly cryptic for me

a special thanks to all the chartered members for their support in making SMF possible
It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter's Law.

Is this not available via Package Manager because this is a beta?  Also, when it becomes just SMF 1.1 and not SMF 1.1 Beta 3 Public will it then be available via Package Manager?

I don't really like doing the upgrades manually and Package Manager is a godsend.

No, this is not available via the package manager because it is a major and very large update.  There will not be any official way to upgrade from 1.0 to 1.1 through the package manager.

No, it takes 100k+ to list all of them, and at least 20k to list most of them... I listed the most notable ;).

After using the install package, I get (only):
QuoteUnknown column 'a.attachmentType' in 'field list'
in my browser.

So, nothing comes up.

I also tried to register with an already existing member name, which is never a problem. But, on the "installation complete page", I got:
QuoteNotice: Undefined variable: salt in /home/anunlike/public_html/testforums/isntall.php on line 869
Otherwise, I get the regular stuff. But when I got to my forums, I get the "a.attachmentType" message (above).

This means you installed over a 1.0 database.  It's also the cause of your other errors.  You should have read the warning the installer gave you.

You are also using an old database.  You have either done the same thing or not run upgrade.php.  Did you read the readme.html?

Yes, it can be... but it's the same as 1.0.

Thanks. Yeah, I was in a bit of a hurry and it's a test forum with absolutely nothing valuable on it.  :P

I found a typo...
Admin > Packages > Options > Cleanup Permissions > The middle option reads "All are files writable." which, of course, should be "All files are writable."

I also found... Page doesn't have a title to it, it just shows the url.
Admin > News and Newsletters > Settings
Admin > Boards > Settings
Admin > Membergroups > Settings

I'd also suggest renaming the "Personal Message Options" link to include something about the buddylist features.

VERY nice, as always!

DB Requirements Question

The installation guide for 1.0.x

http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=6765.0 says - MySQL 3.23.4 or higher.

Now with the 1.1.3 upgrade the requirements change?

smf_1-1-beta3p_upgrade/readme.html says - MySQL 3.23.6 or higher.

I am running MySQL 3.23.56. Am I out of luck?
