NChat - No SQL Save BW shoutbox

hi!
My websites smf 2.0.2. I installed modification of Nchat. I'am Turk. I use turkish letters in forums. But, I don't use Turkish letters (ü, ş, ç, ğ) in chatbox.

Just wandering if anyone is able to help me with my issue, my link is at http://efeds.net and I hope that doesn't break any rules. It just has a white box and nothing inside of it and cant do nothing, when I uninstall it it gives me the error I stated before. If someone can help me with this issue I would be very thankful. If need be, I can have someone become an admin to help me figure out the said issue.

Was it working before and then just went white?

Nice mod; My problem is that text is truncated. If I type a 100 character string and press enter some of the text is not displayed. Anyone else get this?

This is a setting, go to Mod Settings, Nchat, etc.

For the life of me I can't get the NChat to appear on all the pages of the forums. I know there is a way as I have it on my other sites but for some reason i can't get it to work out. Is there anyway that someone can help me here? I know that I have to edit the current themes etc but I don't remember where to remove things and than replace it.

So if anyone can help me here, that would be great. Thanks in advance!

I know what your talking about, Ive seen earlier posts about how to make the chat box available throughout the forums, but nothing much since SMF 2.0.2 came out, Im having the same issues trying to figure out what I can edit to hopefully let me do that.

Question about mod, just a quick question. I have been seeing this mod in the Recent Unread Topics list quite often and I have been wanting to ask this. My question though, what does SQL have to do with bandwidth? Using a database over a flat file actually shouldn't increase bandwidth usage. The title IMHO is misleading as it tells users if you use a database your using more bandwidth, which is false.

I noticed that Nchat did not filter my censored words, although I tried different settings.

Then I edited .... Nchat/NChatHandle.php

I replaced line 107

Code Select Expand

function NChatParser($subject = ''){

with

Code Select Expand

function NChatParser($subject){

Now NChat filters my censored words fine.

We assume that you have already installed the mod without any errors.
Try this way to desplay that in your particular theme:
  1. Go to the mod Link
  2. On the upper right hand side you will find "Directions for manual installation"
  3. Select your SMF version and click Analyse
  4. Look for "./Themes/default/BoardIndex.template.php" and apply all (there are only 2) "add after" to the BoardIndex.template.php of your particular theme.
