Hi guys

Great Forum !

background:
so far, the best ive seen. Overall im making a travel forum (yet another one) and I want each country to have a board, not child board.
There are about 173 countries out there but I will categorise them by the 5 continents-still a lot of scrolling to find the board im interested in!

Feature or workaround required:

I need to be able to hide or filter boards depending on a query string value or session variable as a particular user is logged in. The user via mambo portal (embeded SMF) will have expressed a country he is interested in via a map etc...
Also every update I would like not to have to modify my modified code. I know a bit of php and can hack a few things...

I would also like to know if there is a blogging feature which works within SMF...

many thanks

mojito

Howabout haveing 5 catories, and then put the links on menu bar?
Moving the quick jump box to top alongside a string that says "Use Ctrl+F to find your country" may also help.  If you don't want subboard, this is so far the only way to go...

For blogging, there's good integration with mambo AFAIK.  Someone also did it with WordPress: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=55599.0
