The way to use this mod is to upload a single image to the gallery store, allowing it to create a thumbnail etc.

Further pics are added to that gallery entry using bbcode links to externally hosted images, entered into the "description" text box.

The idea is good, to upload the merest morsel of an image (ie, a pixel file).

But trust me here. It. Will. Not. Look. Good. In. Your. Gallery. At. All.

That's the best way to do it.
Most hosts now a days allow lots of space thankfully.

I am using the pro version 1.1.x, though I cannot use the support at the official site because my subscription is finished.

Just remove theme_linktree() call from the files that should help it. You can always renew at any time for $25 to get latest software

Make sure you have GD installed support and credits and make sure it is listed.
Also check your forum error log for any related errors.

Also check under Gallery Configuration that your gallery path is correct sometimes that changes when changing server companies.

I believe GD is the issue.

No, images are not being resized properly on thread uploads...

hmm sounds like a problem with gd or server setup. Might be the temp path not set correctly or doesn't have permissions.

Ended up fixing it by installing the JPEG module.
