Can I add my flash banner with Ad Management between categories like  this http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=511823.0;attach=224710;image ?

And if it is possible how to..

vbgamer45

Would require some custom tweaks to do so.

If you are not using the core then it is ok. The default theme for SMF 2.0 is curve

If you don't get errors on that theme when installing on other themes then you are ok.

I'm assuming we can just paste our Google AdSense code in?

<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "ca-pub-121212121212";
/* Main Ad */
google_ad_slot = "121212121212";
google_ad_width = 728;
google_ad_height = 90;
//-->
</script>
<script type="text/javascript"
src="//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
</script>

When I paste this I just get a blank background? It could be cause the ad is new and not showing up yet or maybe there is something I am missing?

NOTE: The numbers have been replaced since that info is irrelevant to debugging.

vbgamer45

Yes that all you need to.

That is normal adsense behavior to be blank in the beginning.

Mkay, thanks for the feedback.

Hopefully Adsense will detect that the code has been added and whomever does the screening at Google can get to it over the next day or two.

Hi,
I have problems with Ad Managment v 3.0.1 running on SMF 2.0.5. It does not display ads when I enter numbers in the field "Which boards should this ad display in". I enter the digits of the boards just as described but no ads show anywhere. Then I remove the digits and ads show on every page. Can someone tell me where the problem is? I am using default SMF theme.

Hello, I have a little problem. SMF 2.0.6 Ad Management 3.1a. I have an add I set to be displayed as a right tower. If I open a board that is in the general category it pushes the topics list to the left about half way of the page. The images in the tower are still sized properly but there is a wide blank area to the right of the tower. This is the only place I see this. I do not have any ads set to be displayed in those boards only. Everything else displays as it should. I'm thinking this may be a problem with the main template but I'm not sure. Disabling the add that is set to display as a right tower fixes the issue. This is the only right tower add I have. I only have a top or every page, right tower and left tower adds. I'm using a custom theme but it is the same as the default (curve) with only a few graphics changes unless one of the other mods has altered the template. I'm no programmer so it may well be my fault. Maybe my code for the tower add isn't right? But, I still do not understand how or why everything else would display correctly.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

I have SMF 1.19  I tried to modify my custom theme with Ad Manager, and can place ads on the top of each post page, but it does not show at the top of the forum topic page.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

vbgamer45

What I do for custom themes is compare where it is added in the default theme then make similiar changes in the similar area in the custom theme.

I am trying to do that, but I cannot find the code to allow an ad to show on the forum category front page.  It will show in each post but not at the top of the title forum page.  I keep getting errors when trying to change the code.
Thanks

I am trying to install the reply in every post mod, but receive an error tell me to find $reply_button = create_button('quote.gif', 'reply_quote', 'quote', 'align="middle"'); and add     $respond_button = create_button('reply.gif', 'reply', 'reply', 'align="middle"');
before it.  The problem is that I cannot find the first code in the display in the ./Themes/default/Display.template.php file.
Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure you are getting the install information for the correct SMF version.

I have ad management mod 3.1 for SMF 2.0.6.  My question is how can you add multiple ads and align them on each forum topic?

Gryzor

Hello!

Thanks for this wonderful mod :)

I've hit a small problem: although I'm running async ads, I got reports from my users that they don't work as such. I have an ad at the top of the index page (under the login form) and they tell me that if the ad is slow to load, although the page has completely loaded (except for the ad) the login button does not work! It only works after the ad is displayed...

Any ideas?

Thanks again!
