I just installed my software and most things work well but when I try to add a category all I get is the following:

QuoteNot Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /index.php could not be found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

What do I need to do to fix this?

were you encountering any other issue apart from it?

if YES, then what and what?

if No, Please you can contact your Host, complain this issue to them

I contacted Godaddy tech support and here is their response:

Hello,

I have made additional server tweaks to allow SMF to run without issue, please let me know if you continue to encounter errors adding categories to your forums.

Best Regards,
Jeramie B.

And it is now working I can now add categories.

i told you it's your host problem and you doubted it

anyway, glad it's now working :)

BTW:, the whole "missing file" thing is actually something else, entirely....   basically, it is saying that you have not defined appropriate files to be displayed when an error code is triggered (this is a host-side thing, not an SMF thing)
