Well I don't know how it happened but what about just fixing it from here? :)

If this doesn't work the update should fix it for good ;) (I suggest you to update anyway though!)

Nice, I like some songs by the Cure, and I'm Italian as well :)

It's so powerful that on this post and even in the two PMs you sent me,you still answered my question very quickly and you're apologizing for the delay. You're the #1 support I've probably ever encountered man, so much respect for that. Thank you, and get better soon.

I'll keep this in my siggy for a while just to remind me that someone appreciated what I did while others didn't.

Ninja...   Please stop commenting in every thread, especially when someone who knows has already answered.

Trying to reorder as you say would not work, if, as I suspect, he is running 2.0.7 or 2.0.6
... Or if he converted from one of several different packages to get to smf.

^^ this, just check the link the user gave.

So, 2.0.7 + migration (which most likely implies MySQL 5.6+) --> wrong boards order. 2.0.8 fixes that ;-)

Kindred I comment in threads in which I see that more details might be added, actually. Not "every" thread.

I know that it might now work but if he tries we would know with 99% accuracy that it's because of the bug that has been fixed with the latest release, and then solve the problem.
I don't get the reason why you bug me so much, there are people (I won't mention any of them) spamming useless comments and you bug me, always and all the times. I am on your site and I *am* helping, and from what I can see users are not complaining about me, instead I saw almost always some thanks or even more (such as in my siggy).
Also, anyone can make mistakes, including me, including you. For sure I have to learn from you but that doesn't mean that I must shut up and beg for pardon when I didn't do anything wrong, otherwise I would have seen more people telling me "hei I didn't need this", that didn't happen. I had contacts and still have contacts (even outside smf) with team members telling me "keep it up" or something like that while you are the only one being "The Mean One" for real. Would you reconsider me and stop thinking I am a spammer or whatever you think I am? Because I examined and re-examined pretty much all of my posts and you can criticise each one of those and I would be able to reply politely to any critics.
I believe that this is way off topic for once, but I just answered your "request" because I think you misunderstood something about me. I answered your PM when you sent that to me, and believe me I asked *MANY* people about their opinions, including team members, and they were all "what? are you serious?", I answered your PM to have a polite conversation and hopefully to clarify both of us but you never replied again, unfortunately. I start to be hopeless about talking to you and I'm disappointed at it since I like this site and the team members, and I always tried to be kind to everybody.
I hope that after this message you re-examine my activity around here and see if I am a spammer or more a guy being user-friendly and putting some smileys to welcome people in here rather than giving them a brutal answer, as a normal user I can say that when people replies like this (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=269091.msg3725448#msg3725448) I can't consider it in any way user friendly as it doesn't provide more details, it feels like you are angry with the guy that asked it and also that he bothered you so much for that answer, which is not exactly the case. I mean, don't misunderstand me again, the answer is correct and in NO way I am trying to explain to you how to do your job, but it was meant to ask you... Why so serious? Why so "mean"? Why not having a good laugh and answering the question at the same time? (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=391961.msg3729867#msg3729867 a good example as I had already said in the previous message to update IE to try to fix it)
I hope that you will get what I am trying to say, despite for once it's off topic, you might want to remove both messages and send me a PM, it's the same for me, I just wanted to tell you this. Hope you are no longer mad at me as I have never been, instead I have always followed your answers as examples, trying to learn from the ones I didn't know about (such as http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=526204.0, didn't know that the official download still had the glitch, I thought it was fixed).

P.s.: from the community I came from, addressing someone with their displayed name rather than the real one was considered extremely rude. Probably because it was smaller, I don't know, but I espect normal people to tell me through PM if they have issues with me so that they can be clarified. Sorry for being long.[/OT]

and see...   this is sort of the issue.

1- I don't post angry most of the time. Yes, I am brief and to the point - often I am posting form a mobile device, but even when I am not, what's the point of typing a novel when one word conveys the exact message I need to get across? I see no point in cluttering up my answers with useless junk.
My title "the Mean One" is a joke. I am *NOT* mean -- it's just that some folks today feel that if someone doesn't apologize for disagreeing then they are being mean...  seriously?  get a thicker skin if you plan to spend any time on the interwebs.

2- I never said that you have to shut up. I suggested (rather strongly) that you may want to just back off in your posting, especially if the topic has already been addressed by multiple team members (and the fact that several times, your suggestions have been pointless)

3- I am not picking on you, specifically, I would be saying the same (and HAVE said the same) to anyone behaving the same way.

4- I have never heard of addressing people by their real names as "polite". EVER.  I have been participating in forums since before there was an internet and we ALWAYS use the display name. Sometimes we may refer to a former display name if the user has changed it) but we NEVER use their real name unless we have spoken to the person IRL and been given permission to do so (or occasionally when we are trying to make a specific point of someone being a complete ass)

Sure it's a joke but you can't deny you are being even too serious... As a normal user, people get back on forums if they can find a good community and also if they can find the answers they are looking for. Check who has more success, if both laughing and being serious together or only the latter. You will soon discover that the former way is better.

Like I said, you don't provide examples and reasons for them. I have always answered when you told me "this doesn't look good or it is pointless or whatever" and apologized when I was being faulty.

3- I am not picking on you, specifically, I would be saying the same (and HAVE said the same) to anyone behaving the same way.
No you aren't. Sorry to disagree but I will never link to any messages made by other people but you aren't. Quick tip: they were made by people with a large number of posts.
But again, do you think I care about post numbers? No. If I care about something I care about both being friendly and also answering the questions. Sometimes I also provide different point of views (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=524542.0, my solution was at first addressed as overkill and then happily used)

4- I have never heard of addressing people by their real names as "polite". EVER.  I have been participating in forums since before there was an internet and we ALWAYS use the display name. Well it was the Italian Wolfteam forum by Aeriagames in which I was moderator (and everyone who knew my real name from anywhere was calling me Flavio, not Ninja, even if I love both names, I changed mine here to follow this politics somehow), now closed for the issued I had reported them a year before seeing them failing for those exact reasons. Like I said thogh it was probably because it was smaller than this community. By the way you can't blame anyone as I can't see a rule telling me not to call a guy with his real name anywhere. And it's not the "netiquette" as in my previous community there wasn't this kind of issue (and believe me I still can't understand this! I hate talking with "Ninja" or "Kindred", to hell I am FLAVIO, I am a PERSON, not a bot! That's my point of view and the point of view of my previous community, for sure I will stick to this rule but only after knowing it as I don't have the mind reading mod installed yet, quoting an awesome sentence by Illori :) ).

Still can't consider it as clarified as long as you don't provide me the examples that made you somehow "angry" or that you saw as "useless", so that I can either justify them or admit that I was wrong (I usually do it when I see I am, you saw it already in the other support topic about the glitch), but thanks for your reply. If you want to link them in private like I said it's the same to me.
P.s. I know that sometimes you post by mobile phone, that's why I provide the links you often talk about but that you can't link for being on the phone, consider it as me fully approving your answer (even if you don't need it) and supporting it with a thing you would do on your own if you were on the laptop, I just integrate it, if you want merge them I don't care, like I said I like the community, I like to help and I only want to help, even providing links that you can't provide for being on the phone can be helpful don't you think? In the end users follow the procedure you pointed out and check my link so we are both correct and everyone did his job ;)

P.p.s: This was and is very important to me and in fact it's 5:22 am here but I am still replying. Please forgive now but I *really* need to go to sleep, but I hope that when I will login later I will find something polite like your last message because I appreciated it very much except for the non-examples part :P
