Quote from: sah62 on March 08, 2022, 01:09:17 PMI just ran into this error: "8: Array to string conversion" when one of my forum users was trying to send a personal message.

I actually get two errors for each received PM.

Under Simple Portal version 2.1.4 Cleantalk blocks the detailed search: "*** Forbidden. Please enable JavaScript. Contains contacts. Message seems to be spam. Anti-Spam by CleanTalk. ***"

Do you have any ideas on how this could be resolved?

I have a SMF and saw an uptick in SPAM/Bot registrations despite the built in features, so first change I made was to "Admin Approve" all registrations.

Using CleanTalk's "email/IP" Blacklist utility on their web page and then creating the ban trigger (ban account), I was able to keep up with the occasional miscreant.

This past year it has been ramping up and I was seeing as many as a dozen a day, and even with bit blocking large blocks  it persisted.

A few days ago I set to install and test CLeanTalk's Anti-Spam plug in, and after it caught 15, and not one "false positive" nor any getting through that were Spam/Bot registrations, I bought the package.

And with the added "Extra Packages", being able to block countries and granular blocking is going to be great for reducing threats, and excess "guest viewing" and much better than editing HTACCES and other server side efforts.

And I had a few issues trying to get the plugin installed (needed to do manual and the SMF is subforum within WordPress), but CLeanTalk support responded and the issues were resolved in less than 2 hours from start to finish. Very fast, and helpful information.

Well worth less than US $2 a month for all it provides.
