I know it's a very minor request... and please,  treat it as such...

It would be awesome if I could modify the avatars to be square with rounded corners versus completely round as they are now...

You can follow the same instructions as this post:

Not sure if it was posted in this topic, the search is wonky with the CSS var as keyword.

Thank you.

Finally (i hope)... I just came up with another minor thing.  I added a 2nd news item for the first time today and noticed the little green "bars" to the right of the new feeder at the top.  Looks cool... unfortunately when it goes from one to another (at least with two items),  it causes a wiggle in the entire news item that is quite distracting.  Is there a way to either (A) stop the wiggle... I assume it's being caused by the size of the image to the right reducing in expanding as the two bars contract/expand... or (B) remove that little graphic element totally,  thereby fixing the wiggle.

Thank you for sharing your awesome work BTW...

FrizzleFried

Tried looking for the code... but i'm barely a hack.  FWIW,  it 'LOOKS' like you could turn the image 90 degrees so the bars go vertically and the bounding box (whatever it's called) wouldn't expand/contract.

Can you post a screenshot of this issue? I don't really see what you mean, perhaps I need to use specific text in the news items?

I'll do you one better.  You can see it in action here: www.arpicade.net ...

8 seconds between news items... so be patient.

:)

Maybe the issue has something to do with image I am using in the news items?

FrizzleFried

The little wiggle has to do with centering.  If I remove the center tags ... no more wiggle.  Unfortunately centering looks much better IMHO...

Diego Andrés

I fixed the behavior using a fixed width for the buttons column.

You, sir... are a scholar and a gentleman!

Thank you!

I have no idea why it is what it is... but... since the fix... my first news item's links aren't working.  The 2nd news items links work fine but the first news item has two links going to the same place... oddly the first "image" link now goes to the link in the other news item... and the HERE text link just isn't working at all.

I will leave the news items up so you can see...

Very odd.  Tried with Firefox and Chrome.

EDIT: What is VERY odd is that when the affected news items "link boxes" match the prior news items exactly".  You can run your mouse over "empty" area of the news item where the link was in the prior news items and the link (from the prior news item) shows up!

EDIT #2: Even the text links exhibit this behavior.  The link on the one news item is perfect where HERE is.  The next news item, the linked HERE work is moved a bit but the prior news items link box is still in the same spot (no where HERE is) and it's still going to the old link.

Basically,  the text is changing from news item to news item... but the actual links AND the link locations aren't.

Now that's a strange one.

I will review it later today

Note that I've adjusted one of my news items on my site to remove CLICK HERE as it could cause confusion.  That said... that same news item that no longer has CLICK HERE shows up with the two "hot" locations that the prior news item had in the same spots.  Basically... the text/images change per new item... the clickable "hot spots" do not...

Diego Andrés

Could you post an example of the items you were using? You can use a code bbc to wrap it here.

I have since removed the Click HERE to view from the first news item as it contained the links to the second news item (and not where they should be)... which potentially could cause confusion.
