During manual installation, running VisualWarningdb.php I have
QuoteError updating the DB. SQL Error: Invalid default value for 'ID'
in the 1st fnd 3rd line. In other lines there is Data Inserted Correctly! message.
1.1 RC2
Let's just assume that this string from readme is my case: "If you are unsure select "new SMF installation" and ignore any errors thrown up". And ignore it. Bingo! After 10 minutes copypasting from mod-file I've got fully working mod.

Another has just appeared: I can't save setings, made on "warnings tab". Neither time duration, nor colors/images. When I click "Save settings" it doesn't save anything.
Where can I edit those parameters manually?

The other question is how to change the font size, which is used near warn-images (Mute/Moderated/Banned/Warned). I'd like to have it not so huge.

PostThis

Hi there! Here's hoping that I won't make a total n00b out of myself.  :-[

I installed the mod (lovely!) and it seemed to work fine until I clicked on:

Post Moderation Manager and Warning Management.

All I get is a screen informing me that An Error Has Occurred! (with no details on the error)

Error logs show:

8: Undefined index: cannot_visual_warn_any
File: /home/haydench/public_html/Sources/Errors.php
Line: 336

If anyone here has an idea of what got bungled on the way, I would really appreciate your input.

Thanks in advance!

I noticed you can set custom groups to warn and approve posts, however, I'd like moderators to be able to warn too (only in their own sections), but under the permissions section, moderators don't have the options.  Is there a way to add them?

You have to edit your Modifications.you_language.php and Admin.you_language.php. Just copy from Modifications.english.php and Admin.english.php the missing text.

What are the fields of Admin.english.php that i must copy? However i tryed to do this but i don't find how to warn  users :(

I got a few theme on my site. I did read this thread  How to make mods work with themes?

but i dont understand how to get it working. Anyone here could explain to me in a more simple way ?

iv_nik

Take VisualWarning_SMF11R2.mod open it in any text editor, read carefully searching files between <edit file> tags and do exactly what is told there (add, replace, before, after etc)

I have tried that.

Think you can give me the data needed for this operation?

Heres a pic that might help you.

Thanks a lot iv_nik :)

I am using helios like you too. Did everything like what the guide said and i dont think there is any error except i cant get the warning graphic icon & there is no "Post.template" file in Helios Theme. Whats the solution ?

iv_nik

Hm.. Is it a bug? - Warnings are not cancelled automatically after certain period set in a "Duration" field.. :(

ArkServer

is it possible to make a page that shows all banned users that everyone can see?

Bigguy

I just read this on this forum the other day someone made a "ban.php" file or something. I`m not sure were it is now but I bet if you search you will find it.

if a moderar bans someone is it possible to make an option that he can only ban users from that board and not from the whole forum?

I hope SMF Developer will had a build in warning meter in the next SMF upgrade or someone that could come out with a meter bar mod like IPB.

Something like the pic below.

And someone please help me about my question above. The warning button is still not working :(

onijin

this is how I got it working in Helios

in Display.template.php

find
                if ($message['can_remove'])

                        echo '

                                                                        <a href="', $scripturl, '?action=deletemsg;topic=', $context['current_topic'], '.', $context['start'], ';msg=', $message['id'], ';sesc=', $context['session_id'], '" onclick="return confirm(\'', $txt[154], '?\');">', ($settings['use_image_buttons'] ? '<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/' . $context['user']['language'] . '/delete.gif" alt="' . $txt[121] . '" border="0" />' : $txt[31]), '</a>';

add after
if ($context['can_warn'])

echo '

<a href="', $scripturl, '?action=warnadd;topic=', $context['current_topic'], ';start=', $context['start'], ';user=', $message['member']['id'], ';msg=', $message['id'], '">', ($settings['use_image_buttons'] ? '<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/' . $context['user']['language'] . '/warn.gif" alt="' . Warn . '" border="0" />' : Warn), '</a>';

and make sure you have the button in your "/images/english/" folder

i made this one:
