Check For Javascript, Etc.?

I think something that would be pretty cool to have would be the ability for SMF to check see if javascript, etc. is enabled / installed in the browser.

Since certain SMF functions use it, it'd be neat for it to automatically check, and if not enabled / installed, give a text message (or whatever) somewhere in a pretty obvious place stating so.

I can think of one simple, theoretical way to do this.

Use Javascript to set a cookie and then see if PHP can read the cookie, if PHP finds the cookie is set then we know JS is enabled... its purely theoretical but it could work

You could also edit login. And check whatever password was sent hashed or not. This may have some down sides
