Hard Rain Theme can't view PM

Hi folks need some help i am using the black rain theme my problem is it won't view the PM details in the index so the only way for members to know if they have a new PM is to go into there message box is there anyway of fixing this

Where you able to resolve this?

It is just how some themes are, I use black rain and I use the option so that a pop up box appears and asks you if you want to view the PMs in a new window I find that it resolves the problem, but it would be great if someone modified the theme to tell you how many you have, tho I haven't much of an Idea how hope that was a bit useful.

Maybe manually inserting this MOD to the themes in question:

Add PM Info To Header Area:

That might be another avenue.
