At this moment I am using smf 1.1.1 with the 'themis' template and the following mods:

Is it safe to install the 1.1.2 update package? and do i have to change the template files of 'themis'?

Well, personally if I was you I would uninstall as many mods as I can, change the theme to the default then upgrade and then re-install mods. You might have to wait for a few mods if the authors have not updated them yet. I would also check to see if the theme is updated to work on 1.1.2.
