How to use functions such as <div class=>

Hello everyone,

I don't want to create a theme but I want to change some stuff in my theme. I know that using class functions you can get the pictures in your images folder. I like to know how to use it. For example
I want to create a box using catbg image and the width=80 height=80. How do I do that? Also how do I move this box I created. I want to create a table inside titlebg1 width=100 height=100. How do I do that. Thank you very much for your help in advance.
