Registration issues

I have recently installed SMF and tried to register a different name and email address, but I never received an email as an admin or a user. I changed the process to allow registration without admin approval and still do not receive an email. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Let's try the obvious, first, shall we?

Admin>Registration>Settings

Is "Send welcome email to new members" checked?

If it's not that, I'd suggest that you look through the support boards, because this has cropped-up loads of times and there doesn't seem much point in going over it all, again.

Yes, it is checked, but shouldn't the admin receive an email if a new user registers when it is set for admin approval? I am not receiving that email either. I have searched the board but have not found an answer to this issue, maybe I am not putting in the right key words in my search. Thanks for your help. Hopefully I will get this resolved soon.

If you use the search at top-right, it's better than the one in the nav bar.

Rather than search, though, I'd just go through them and look at the topic titles.

This board will have some. So will the SMF v1 support boards.
