SMF Gallery

I installed the gallery and gave permissions. Users can upload photos. But when they click on them:

Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /Forums/index.php could not be found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

That is an issue with mod_security

I am wanting to upload this and I don't know how to make the gallery directory writable.

Then afterwords make the gallery directory writable.

Do you see any warning message inside the gallery saying it can not write? If not then you are good to go.

Otherwise you need ot change the file permissions via ftp or a control panel's file manager.

Dont mistake that i was keep on asking the same issue. I know the use of gallery mod as an admin.

Whenever I try and go to the gallery it says "You're seeing this page because account contains no index file. (EG: index.htm)"

You actually access the gallery using
http://www.yourforum.com/index.php?action=gallery

For custom themes they require a link to the gallery on the index.template.php of that theme.

I don't think that can be fixed unless you have a backup of the images. You would need to copy them to your gallery folder. I would contact your host for any backups.

I love the gallery mod, just installed it into a SMF 2.0 Beta 4.
However, I now have 2 issues that need help on.

1. The linktree when in a gallery category, is showing 2 times at the top:

2. I get this at the top of the page when in anywhere in the gallery:

No.
Just changed colors and images on the site's theme.

I have all my images uploaded yesterday only.
I had a complete backup of my gallery folder, so i uploaded all 5000 images yesterday only.

I found something, if i go to my images. I could see all the images perfectly.
But images were not showing inside category only.

I have tried to install a mod named mgallery. And i tried to convert the pics earlier. From then i got this problem.
The converter program in mgallery mod, got all the categories only, then while trying to take the pictures. It said,

An Error Has Occurred!

So from that moment i could not see any images in side my categories only. But if i upload a new one it shows perfectly and even all images were perfectly shown inside my images link.

I feel very bad that, i have collapsed a excellent mod myself. Kindly help me VBGamer45.

I have replaced these files with the ones in the package, and still coming up with those issues:

sources/Gallery.php
default/Gallery.template.php
default/languages/Gallery.english.php
default/languages/Gallery.template.php

You currently do not have SMF Gallery installed I do see the two links though when you view the gallery in the link tree.

Yes, I decided to uninstall it, to test the Media Gallery...
I use yours on all my other sites, and have to say that I like yours best.

Yet, I have no idea why it showed the ?>
Oh well, that site is test SMF 2.0 Beat and new things, so, no big deal.
Just figured you'd like to know what I came across.

Didn't see anything wrong.
Other than all the thumbnails have disappeared. I would contact your host. To restore the the thumbnails.
