hmmm... I get a white box.

and I have flash player 9 installed....

once again, though...   If I use the quickedit icon and save the message (without changing anything), I can see it properly

Can you confirm that this is happening to anyone else?  Even just a few of your forum's members?

one question..

is it gonna eat up my forum bandwidth or will it only be using youtube's bandwidth?

It won't use a byte of your bandwidth.  ;)

thanks Marlon.

Very nice mod indeed. Installed it without any problems. I just wish though that the youtube icon won't appear on regular member's end coz I want to limit the posting of youtube files to the moderating team only.

No offense, but that kind of defeats the purpose of all embedded videos being XHTML compliant.  ::)

new info, based on that post...
Something I neglected to test myself, before this (shame on me)

It works correctly in firefox, it does not work in IE7.
I am looking for one of my users who is still on IE6 to try it.

My hosting is dreamhost, this hosting allow me to put with some code a flash video in my site. The code is this:

Code: [Select]
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://media.dreamhost.com/ufo.js"></script>
<p id="sample.flv"><a href="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer">Get the Flash Player</a> to see this player.</p>

<script type="text/javascript">
  var FO = { movie:"https://media.dreamhost.com/mediaplayer.swf",width:"320",height:"240",majorversion:"7",build:"0",bgcolor:"#FFFFFF",
             flashvars:"file=https://media.dreamhost.com/sample.flv&amp;showdigits=true&amp;autostart=false" };
UFO.create(FO,"sample.flv");
</script>

There is any way to make the same of your mod youtube with this features? what i have to change?

Thank you!

Seem to have a similar problem.

Installed the mod, but it won't show a thing, not even a white box (tested IE7 and Firefox (latest version).

It doesn't produce the <embed> code, could that be a problem?

For a sample:
http://www.fencecheck.com/forums/index.php/topic,8550.msg132092.html#msg132092

(first video is entered manual with the Flash BBC button, second (not visible) is entered with the YouTube BBC button)

Roger

Dreamhost doesn't allow you to install mods on your forum...?  I have some news for you regarding Dreamhost: run...no really, find a new host.

Any host that doesn't oversell, or just terminate your hosting for "using too many CPU minutes."
