New phpBB converter success

thank you very much! Have any advice how to keep spam out? I had the site up for 2 days and someone had posted as a guest(I have it set to not allow guest posts), I use 1.1.2....any advice would be helpful! Someone mentioned that maybe my sql was hacked and that could be the reason?

Is the spam in SMF or phpBB?

I converted over this weekend and haven't deleted my phpBB yet but the spam was in my new forum w/ SMF.

I was getting tons using phpBB that's why I switched over.

Well I would suggest that you disable guest posting. Spammers love it when forum's have that enabled.

it is disabled, they can only view the forum. Am I missing something, it seems simple to keep guests out but I myself posted as a guest when I entered some bogus email? I have it set to member activation also, I figured that would help...

Just go to your site go board by board and look for "New Topic" or "New Poll" buttons
