I tried that and there's issues with the pages function.
I have SP running on an ElkArte forum with PHP pages and when tried them on EhPortal, they wont work, no matter what try with the PHP settings in Block Settings page. That's why was hoping SP would be updated.

Not likely at this point. I would report that issue on the EhPortal site.
