Quoting so that people don't miss:

SimplePortal 2.3.1 works perfectly fine with SMF 2.0 RC3. Just emulate the Package Manager version to SMF 2.0 RC2 and you can install and use it without any issues.

Hi, First, I love your portal system. I just upgraded to RC3 and downloaded your 2.3.1.tar from the packages list. tried to install and it said corrupted or not compatible with version. I retried to DL it and reinstall but same thing. Will check back later and see if its me or the package. Thanks

I had the same thing happen but I think the problem now is that on the Mod Site it says it's been updated but the package-info is not correct.

I was just pointing out (to the SP Team) that they forgot to update the package-info. Obviously it was an over site when they update SP here on the Mod Site for RC3.

It's not that we forgot it. Just we don't want to update the package at this point, when 2.3.2 version is really close.

It works, but now my Home button brings me to the Portal, which is what I want, but the Forum button is missing. I tried to copy and paste the "Forum" button from my RC2 version but it gives an error. How can I make it give me a forum button for the forum and use the home button for the portal?

Version emulation isn't working for me. I installed the RC3 update and SP disappeared. I guess I should check and see if the SP code is still in the files. There is no advanced option until after I upload it and try to install it after which I get the version error and THEN the advanced option appears, but I have no link to install. I could just dump this whole dev forum and start over, but if anybody has any ideas that would be great.

Anyone else getting wierd updates with the shoutbox? your post will be there then dissapear then show up again later. It is basically unusable. Am i the only one that gets this?

I think what is misleading for most people is that on the Mods Home Page it says Compatible With:
1.1.10, 2.0 RC1.2, 2.0 RC2, 2.0 RC3

Even though it IS compatible it seems people are expecting it to be install correctly vs. having to emulate to another version.

It's compatible. You';; need to manually edit the failing file.
