Yeah, only one suggestion: drop McGallery, it sucks. Go for BurgerKingGallery, it tastes much better.

And do manual installs correctly, I dunno :P There aren't that many changes to apply to the SMF files...
Your files should be in /forum/

Hope oneday.. there is an option to put two or three youtube embedding in same page.

Like if the youtube videos have a series we can add three video side by side.

Nao 尚

Nope.
Do a forum post and use AEVAC for that.

I'm thinking of putting an audio player that supports playlists, though--and then I would feed the album's item list into it and you could create albums with audio items that play in a single player.

Ha, didn't notice i had added a "c" after "M", and no I stay away from any burgers....hahahah

But seriously Nao. I did check that the manual changes are correct. And I did that twice and both times I got the same result. So just to understand you, you are saying to put the 3 directories in the /forum/

But there is a "Sources" folder currently in the /forum/? Same with "Themes", there is a "Themes folder in /forum/.  Not very sure which is why i am asking. Below is the error log and there is a whole bunch of them.

Quote2: require_once(/mydomain/forum/Sources/MGallery-Admin.php) [<a href='function.require-once'>function.require-once</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory
File: /mydomain/forum/Sources/Subs.php

Well, you've never installed a mod before, have you?

Just do as I'm saying... Overwrite, overwrite.

Yep that's what I thought. Just to be sure.

Thanks I'll try that again.

............

And yes it's working although I don't see a "Gallery" button yet. Using DilberMC theme.

vulcan59

Hi Nao,

Apologies for bothering you again. When I switch to default theme, the "Gallery" button is there but not when I switch back to DilberMC theme.  I suppose there is another mod that I need to do to my DilberMC theme?

Any guidance?

Thanks.

Okay thanks.

Just to confirm the two DilberMC files would be /Themes/DilberMC/index.template.php and
/Themes/DilberMC/languages/Modifications.english.php?

Nao 尚

I don't know what your version of SMF is... If it's 1.1, yes. Otherwise, it's Subs.php, not index.template.php (but then of course, there would be no reason for the link not to appear.)

Oh sorry, I am using SMF 1.1.7 with the DilberMC theme with no other mods whatsoever except the just modified SMF Gallery.

The "Gallery" button appears only when I change to default theme. No error messages in the gallery error log.

Hey gang! (Nao and Dragooon)

It's me again! Grades are now done, so I have a little bit more breathing room (temporarily). Unfortunately the latest 1.5 RC 3.1 still won't mass-upload for me (but at least it doesn't crash for me now). In addition, I still cannot upload a file that is 127meg in size (I have my limits set at 300meg on my server and on SMG). The error I get is:

"There was a error in uploading, please try again or contact the administrator."

After the Thanksgiving holiday (which begins later this week) I will be giving my students assignments to do with the videos, so I'm hoping to have everything running smoothly by then...

And, just as a reminder - I LIKE this mod. *smile*

Hi Nao,

I did the mod to /DilberMC/index.template and the gallery button showed up but the colors and font were all wrong. However is no Modifications.English.php file but a Settings.English.php.

What are the files that I need to modify in the DilberMC themes?

Elijah Bliss

Has anyone had any problems with the [smg] tags? They are completely non functional on my site.

The mod installed cleanly BTW.

Any help appreciated.

vulcan59

Hi all,

Managed to sort it out but now I have a whole bunch of errors in the forum error log but not in the gallery error log.

Quote2: rmdir(/home/on/arrowcat.co.nz/forum/mgal_data/albums/ArrowCat_NZ) [<a href='function.rmdir'>function.rmdir</a>]: No such file or directory
File: /home/on/arrowcat.co.nz/forum/Sources/Subs-MGallery.php
Line: 546

Quote8: Undefined variable: scripturl
File: /home/on/arrowcat.co.nz/forum/Sources/MGallery-Admin.php
Line: 564

and a whole bunch of album not found!!

Any help Nao?

Thanks.
