OK I am just playing it with now.  :P

However I can't figure out how to allow users to view the galleries.  I gave permission to the post groups and to regular members.   I must be missing something???

Well I guess you'll have to edit the css files so that not everything is either black or white... I've heard there are more shades of color in life ;)

Thanks (= But dewplayers background (swf file) white, and my site text color white.
i know this beacuse i used mp3 player mod one year ago.
http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=829
if i change the text color...  i must the change all color.
I can't have time new theme.  i change embed style mgallery. (subs-mgallery) for aeva codes now. work fine but is this safe?

I'm not too fond of the Dew Player (although it's both popular and French :p), but it's pretty much the only non-nonsense player out there that doesn't have any real cons to it. Apart from the styling, of course.
I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered.

I was curious, for future updates, would it be possible for you guys to make upgrade installers? So that we wouldn't have to uninstall and reinstall but simply upgrade.

I still have an older version installed on that test site, but when we go live it would be a proper pain for me because for some reason the package manager doesn't work properly for your mod on my server and I would have to do a manual uninstall and reinstall each time...

Hey Nao...  I have read every single page of this thread too!

And as for the complainer...   SMF links the mod to THIS thread...  if we started a new thread, the mod would no longer link to the correct support thread.

And yep...   if you are running a dark theme, you will have to modify the CSS for your theme (as I do over on 40konline)

Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support boards.  Thank you.

It would be a true pain for us, especially because of the changes in 1.5.3 I am not going to do it.

What about for 1.5.3 and above?

Apart from doing some sql query, nope.

Had someone ask me about adding a upload status when uploading videos to the gallery. Something like the mass upload has.

Nao 尚

No can do. Madd upload uses javascript and flash. Single upload is the "compatible" solution. It will work without flash or javascript. Use mass upload if you need to upload even a single, but very large, file.

Thanks! Never checked to see if you could upload a video on the mass upload.

3 questions:

1. If a user uploads an image larger than the max width/height, will the server retain the original file and only display it as the max size, or will it shrink the image as a new file? For example, I upload a pic 1200x1600, but the max is set to 1280x1024. When i download the image back to my hd, will it now be 1280x1024 or still original size?

2. Are there options to give different user groups different max gallery sizes? I can't seem to locate any options in regards to this. Because when we go live, we'd like to make a feature for donators to have larger galleries.

3. If i have the max gallery size set to say, 10mb, and down the road I lower it. Will users who have full galleries still retain their media? Or will the server delete items exceeding the limit?

Akyhne

1) It will be at the max size provided by you: 1280x1024

2) No

3) I'm quite sure they will stay. But that's easy to test.

ps: I'm only a user of the gallery

So if i set max image size to 0,0 will there be no limit? or should i give width and height a null value?

Akyhne

I just tried it out. If you write 0 in width and height, you can't upload any image. Neither with NULL value...

hello there

I run a smf forum, version 1.1.3, with SMF Gallery Lite 1.7.6 installed. I meant to install SMG but I need some answers before I do.

1) I understand that the only way to install it to smf 1.1.3 is the manual way. Is there going to be any conflict with SMF Gallery Lite?

2) will the pictures shown in SMF Gallery Lite be also shown in SMG?

3) will I have to uninstall SMF Gallery Lite? before or after i install SMG?

4) are there any known problems with SMG and old smf versions like mine (1.1.3)? will it be fully operative (especially embed videos)?
(there are many reasons why i cannot upgrade to 1.1.7 right now)

thnx in advance.

Akyhne

2) I'm quite sure they won't. But the authors provided a conversion tool to convert from SMF Gallery Lite to SMF Media Gallery.

Why can't you upgrade to 1.1.7?? There's upgrade tools to do that.
