No, pictures aren't renamed...

(Could someone update the topic's title, too?)
I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered.

Yesterday I installed the Beta4 version to our forums and so far so good.  One member had an issue with IE crashing everytime he tried to access the gallery but it seems to have been resolved (I think it was on his end, not the mod's).

I really like the mod, and I'm hoping our members will too.  Thank you for your efforts!

:D

Congrats on Beta 4 I've been busy and still am as a matter of fact.
No Pm's for support please!

They are renamed. Example:
/mgal_data/albums/Navy/Dir_1/141_344504_orig_jpg6f8cf0d5f46e9000b79f0f773a3246be_extjpg

Nao 尚

Yeah but when you download the file from the interface, it ain't renamed. It keeps the original filename... That's what matters, isn't it?

Where exactly is this ftp interface? I looked everywhere in admin panel...
I just checked the ftp folder via ftp cleint login.

LHW

For v2b4, it's under Admin / Gallery / FTP.  This only moves the files that have been uploaded to the FTP area to the selected Album...you'll need to use a 3rd party FTP program to get the files to your server (I use FireFTP...an add-on for Firefox).

Once connected, upload the files to: {your SMF Root-Directory}/mgal_data/ftp.

Hope this helps.

Error 500 => check your file permissions by FTP. Make sure it's 0644 or 0755 for MGalleryItem.php!

Nao, for some reason, after I used the FTP feature to add files to an album, this file's permissions were changed to 666, and Direct Linking didn't work.  Setting it back to 644 resolved the problem.

Just thought you'd like to know.  :)

Nao 尚

The FTP feature is Dragooon's, he knows best on that particular point. I don't remember seeing the code chmod anything to 0666, so clearly your server configuration is to blame. ^^

(Thanks kindred!)

I am using SMF 2.0 RC1.2 and just installed this mod (1.5.6). When I try to create an album it keeps coming up with this error:

QuoteAn Error Has Occurred!
This album's directory couldn't be properly created, please make sure mgal_data and mgal_data/albums is chmodded to 777

Funny thing is, is that the directory and the file they are talking about are indeed chmodded to 777...any suggestions???

How Do I get the gallery button to be shown on a custom theme? Also very good work with the mod.

Kindred

you will have to manually add the button code (and possibly other edits) into your sutom theme's template files. (just like all other mods)

Hello All,

I'm getting the error below when I try forum/?action=mgallery:

Illegal mix of collations (utf8_general_ci,IMPLICIT) and (utf8_unicode_ci,IMPLICIT) for operation 'ifnull'
Archivo: .../../.../Sources/Subs-MGallery.php
Línea: 3370

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 1.1.10, while your database is at version 1.1.7. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.
(translated, cause my forum is in spanish lang)

How can I solve this problem?

Additional information:
-smg version: 1.5.6
-database collation: utf8_unicode_ci
-mgallery tables collation: utf8_unicode_ci
-site: http://harrypotteralive.com/colegio

If you have any doubt please let me know. I'll be waiting for your response.

Thanks so much
If you have an

yeah I know that part, but what I want is where to get the edits for custom themes? should I get it from the parse.
