Installed but confused. What does the following mean -

Profile to switch albums to
Choose the profile to switch to for the albums with the profiles you have selected. If not selected, the profiles won't get deleted

I guess it's to reasign an album from a deleted user to another user.

I'm not sure - it even appears for regular users as well as admin.

the thing is, I do not know any other way to explain it....         You know how to apply permissions to the smf membergroups?   Well, in the gallery, a permissions profile is just like a membergroup...    and then you apply that profile to specific galleries...

i.e. I want one set of permissions for my main gallery, but only certain people have upload rights to the secondary albums....

The problem is that I cant grasp the smf permissions at all - to the point were I'm getting frustrated that I made the switch from another software. The manual says "SMF has a very powerful permission system". While I'm sure that's true trying to figure out how to use it is painfully difficult and I have a well above avg IQ  The manual is also cryptic and presumptuous. Thx

I would have to agree with plusev... I mean, for SMF noobs, the perm system IS very complicated... It forces people to visit a lot of pages to set permissions for multiple membergroups.
Although I don't see how to improve the system, I think it would be neat to have a single page that would graphically show the permission levels for all membergroups at the same time. (Or maybe with Ajax...?)

Those are 2 different mods, cannot upgrade you need to convert

Nao, why the attitude?   I changed it back because it casued problems with my Logo Header.  It did not work!

The .header in the style.css is for the main logo.  I am going to try it again and PM you when its done so you can see for yourself!

I tried to convert the SMF Gallery Lite to SMFMG, but I have a problem. I do not see pictures in albums. Album names, comments are there, but I do not see pictures. Pictures remain in the old folder SMF Gallery lite. I used appropriate  converter.
Another thing, when I try to add a new  album or a photo, appears to me to verify the chmod, but with time all OK, means they can not add album or a photo.
SMF version is 1.1.10,  SMF MG is 1.5.6

Ok, sorry if I'm asking an asked question.

I've tried to install this mod and an error 500: script executional failure came up. I believe its about setting permissions for the files in my root folder, so I fixed all the permission back to 755 (They were 777). It still didn't work, so I want to install it manually and how can I do so?
