hello i try to type my names folder with arabic chracter
but i fount that it is type 5 or 6 charecter onmly and cut the name of folder

what can i do to type the name of folder with arabic

Just installed and everything works & looks great but I do have a couple problems

1. The package I installed says it's RC2 but the info page says RC1 is installed.
2. Photo's work great but videos won't finish an upload. The first upload gets to 100% and then it just sits there and never does anything else. I have many error messages in the log all say :

"You haven't specified a file to upload"

I just installed this mod and converted if from Gallery Pro.  Everything works great for me and anyone who has admin permissions.  However, others are having an issue.  One of my moderators is trying to upload a .gif image but it is giving her an error telling her it is not a valid file extension, yet I can upload it perfectly fine.  What could this be?

Currently SMG is not listing a permission for Add item in my admin panel.

These are the permissions I have listed in Admin..

I went in and added a link that would appear to bring members to the add item page. although the box to browse for item to add is not appearing. I am guessing this is because members still do not have permission "add item". I have looked all through my admin panel and do not see a place to enable Add item anywhere. RC2 installed successfully with no errors. I even uninstalled and reinstalled again a second time to be sure. As of right now my members can view the gallery, but cannot add anything to it.

Am I overlooking something?

This page is correct and shows the field to upload a file with the browse button.

What character set are you using?

iam using utf8_general_ci character

micky, there's a utf conversion routine around subs-mgallery.php or something. Are you confident enough in php that you could try modifying it to return immediately with the same data (ie untransformed)? This may help. I don't use utf myself...
Also, you could simply enlarge the size of titles in your database. It'll work.

Will look into the other posts tomorrow.

@Pradius - A new kind of permission set was introduced in 2.0, See Gallery > Permissions. And edit the Default permission profile. You can create new profiles for specific albums if you want to.

Is FFMpeg installed? (No, it is not needed. Check the smg admin area credits to check for it.)
Did you try uploading with the single upload form? If yes, what's the error message?
Any errors in your forum error log?

and i male the length title of folder 3000 character but is still cut the name of Arabic folder

micky, no further ideas either.

Everyone -- I was planning to release RC3 today, it's pretty much finished (I was writing the changelog), but I have to leave my computer for the night, so I probably won't be releasing it until tomorrow.
Still, be prepared for a lot of additions and changes Which will probably require a RC4 release, hopefully the last one.

I did try to look for that but with so many posts in this topic you don't know whether to start at the beginning middle or end. I just didn't have half a day to read the whole topic. Is there a way to search by topic in this forum the regular search is about useless I can never find anything.

I Just noticed that Audio upload also fails with this error message:

"An error happened during the upload process, please try again or contact the administrator."

Pictures & Documents work fine but Video & Audio don't. Same messages single or mass upload.

Hi,
No doubt, that the mod is great, but sorry guys if you have already discussed and told its solution before. I have searched this topic but found nothing. My term was "Mass Upload".

The mass upload does not work for me. Any solution? It will be more than fine if you provide me a link for its solution. Thank you. 

More Information:
My version of SMF is 1.1.10
I select multiple files to upload and then click the upload button. It just uploads one and then stops, but that one also is not uploaded when I see my albums.
