Installed RC3 with no issues at all. I love the new visual tweaks. A beautiful job once again Nao. :D
I have one strange thing though. When I click on User albums it doesn't show any of the user albums in the list.

orderoftwilight.com
I am using:
SMF 1.1.10
TinyPortal v1.0 beta 4
Stars And Badges 2.1
Repeating Calendar Events v1.2.6
View Any Topic Permission Mod 1.9
Hack's Park Color Picker 1.0
Excellent Smileys 1.0
Stop Spammer    2.2
Aeva ~ Auto-Embed Video & Audio    6.9.99
cbi, 1.0a
WoW Character Profiles    1.9.2
Add Honey Pot to Track IP 1.1
Google Member Map 1.0 beta 4
DisableTemplateEval 1.1
Redirection Boards 2.01
Move Old Topics 1.0
SMF Arcade 2.0.18
Select All And Copy 'Code' To Clipboard [BETA] 1.3
SMF Media Gallery 2.0 RC3

I can still access the albums from direct links. Didn't have this issue with RC2 and frankly I'm stumped. I created new albums to see if they would show up but they didn't.
Any thoughts or ideas?

Dramber

*Facepalm*
Yes I am a noob, I found the albums at the bottom of the page:
http://www.orderoftwilight.com/smf/index.php?action=mgallery;sa=vua Scroll down to see what I mean.

I'll dig a bit to see if I can find why it is placing them way down there but I am not an expert at this kind of thing. Any ideas on where to look would be very helpful.

Nao 尚

I guess the sidebar on the left is shown via a <div>. This would explain why. SMG2 uses "clear: both" styles here and there, in order to be compatible with the new Curve theme. They force a "carriage return" if I may say, but if a div is already there on the left or right, the page flow will skip to below the div.

Your solution is to replace the div with a table, or disable the sidebar for gallery pages.
I guess the sidebar is from TinyPortal, right? Bloc said on the beta boards that he's worried about how Curve breaks TP. I guess he'll work it out soon enough. Or you can also try another portal system.
I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered.

Thank you sir. You have given me a couple of ideas on how to fix this.

Dramber

And that will work.
Hiding the panels while in the gallery area did the trick. This will be acceptable for this site.

Thanks again for the help.  8)

@changer> So it's a WYSIWYG issue (again). Hmm... Can anyone else confirm this? (On item comments.)
Updated to RC3 , same thing when I enable WYSIWYG... :(

I'm just moving to SMG2 from the old 1.5.6. Still after a few hours of trying, I still don't understand Dragooons permission system. people can't post in General Albums. Hmm, off to work now.

Nao: Was there something you wanted me to test regarding FFMPEG? Can't remember anymore.

You must go to Gallery > Permissions > Default , Then edit permissions for public albums... :)

wow i LOVE the new rc3... i really do especially the visual things.  :D

however i have noticed that as my galleries are used to upload songs the new preview type thing doesnt like audio tracks it just says '...loading' indefinately and it means the only way to get to an audio tracks more details page is by going next or previous once you've got to a pictures more details page. As my website is a music one i can see that its inevitably going to drive me and my users slowly nuts.

secondly the player for audio is a little oversized is it possible to change the size so you have just the controls strip showing for audio. and a bigger size for video files?

lastly and less importantly updating my smg from 1.5.6 stopped my 'profile songs' working, i think its something to do with them using the same player (jw) and version. as before the old smg had an older jw so they both worked fine. the profile songs mod will apparently have smg support in the next week or so whatever that means precisely i guess we will see and find out. but i was wondering if that was something you could have as a feature on smg a 'click to make profile song'  option

anyway other then those little things i think the new version is brilliant and its an awesome addition to my site so thank you  :)

I installed new smf 2.0 forum on my localhost , with only SMG RC3 , and there is same WYSIWYG bug... Can anyone confirm this bug?

Go to gallery , select one picture , post new reply with WYSIWYG Enabled  ! In new reply put some smileys (you must see smileys inside reply box when you insert it) then post. If you can`t see smileys , and you get some strange text instead of smileys , confirm bug!

Eheh.
And I'm particularly happy myself with the new "visual" changes I made to RC3.

Eheh? And you asked me about bucko ::)

Very nice Bud. Had a little time to mess around with it and it looks great. The only issue I'm having is with the mass upload function in Firefox on the Linux machine the forum's running on, but it works everywhere else so must be a flash issue specific to this box. Actually I wonder if it's because it's looking at a local directory for files. The button is "whited" out and when I click it and browse no files are visible in the dialog. No matter, I don't really need it to work on this computer anyway, but worth mentioning I suppose.

Thanks for the hard work you guys put in.

Nao 尚

@changer> Well apparently you're the only one...? (Or maybe no one cared to test?)
@akyhne> I don't remember either ;)
@oistar> I completely forgot about that. I have a music site, too, and I thought I should prevent previewing these, but then I remembered I had added support for external images and it was complicated to get a proper $is_image variable... And I skipped to something else and forgot the rest. I committed my change in revision 1119, I'll try to release an update tomorrow. (RC 3.1?)
Audio player size? I think it's just fine...
What is "click to make a profile song"?
@tibiulus> I don't test on Linux. Also, check if there's a dropdown menu on the browse window, maybe it'll allow you to choose another extension set.

I did try to look for that but with so many posts in this topic you don't know whether to start at the beginning middle or end. I just didn't have half a day to read the whole topic. Is there a way to search by topic in this forum the regular search is about useless I can never find anything.

Of course there is. You simply need to type the word you're looking for into the search box at the top of the page... It says "this topic" by default. Although simplemachines.org uses a different search system than the one enabled by default for all SMF boards, so it may not be working on a per-topic basis.

Just checked and yes, it works...

I Swear to God that I couldn't find that 2 days ago. I installed that mod on my own board and couldn't understand why they didn't have it on their own. Your making me question my own sanity.  :-X

Don't know what it is but I can't find it.

Gallery > Admin. It has a credits area with the installed modules.

I guess I should have said I can't find it there. If it's supposed to be under credits it's not there.

QuoteYes same error!
"You haven't specified a file to upload"

This message appears in single upload when:
- you specified an embed URL and don't have the right to embed a file,
- or you specified a file name to upload, but don't have the right to administrate, or moderate, or upload audio, or video, or images, or documents. Meaning you have set wrong permissions.

I wasn't using an URL I was using single and multiple upload both with the same effect.

Permissions shouldn't be the issue I was logged in as the Administrator There isn't even anyway to set permissions for the administrator he automatically has all permissions. but just to make sure I gave all users all 17 permissions and it still does the same thing whether logged in as an administrator a moderator or a regular user.

I have spent hours looking at every option I can find I don't think I've overlooked anything.

You're gonna just love this one Buddy. I know Linux is very case sensitive, but this threw me a curve. It turned out to be only those files. The extension was in caps. .JPG    changing the extension to lowercase .jpg made them show up. Might be useful for somebody else if it comes up. Obviously nothing to do with the mod.

Nao 尚

@Tiribulus> lol...
@captain> you know I can't debug with a magical FTP-upload spirit and a URL retrieving crystal ball you know?

(At some point I'll be asking for actual $$ for tech support for individual users. I spend way too much time helping out people who have crappy servers or crappy SMF installs and could do well by simply moving their site or reinstalling it.)

And I'm not guilty because the authors don`t care about the mistakes... I installed new forum on xampp just to see is there any bug... Well , I think that I can fix this bug alone... tnx for nothing...  :(

Nao 尚

"Thanks for nothing"?
I spent at least an hour trying to figure out your problem...

Just don't use Wysiwyg... I don't see the point of Wysiwyg.

because i use WYSIWYG on forum! And I can`t disable it just for gallery... it`s easier for new users to post when is WYSIWYG enabled...

Nao 尚

Of course you can disable it just for the gallery... With a bit of code here and there.

Also, again and again: Wysiwyg works just fine on my own gallery. I tried switching in and out of Wysiwyg, I added smileys and external IMGs, and everything went as expected. It's on YOUR server.
