The code seems OK....do you have a link to see it in action?

As for the logo, you should only have to insert the path to the image file, no html code there.

I got logo working when i put whole url .

By path I did mean the URL, not the absolute path... if thats what you were thinking of.

Not currently..I have done a version of it..but it just dont look the same. You see, the graphics in Helios give the illusion of fading into the dark background, and they stand out well because of all the black.

When I do the same with white, its the opposite - it "recedes" instead. If you look at Apollo its really a early stage of Helios, and it just don't give the same impact.

Of course you can filter out all the black background, but then it would look "fake" somehow, because of the graphics also have dark shadows.

But i do have plans for more white/light themes as well as black/dark ones, with graphics in them.

I would like to give my members the option of useing the Helios-bluegrey / Helios-Green/ Helois-Silver color themes. Is there an easy way to install 3 or all five colors and have them have unique names?

I am kinda new.  I did create 3 seperate zip files with the correct 'pod' folders, but when I install the theme, they all come out as Helios.

Change the name in the XML before you install the theme...

Or just upload them to different folders, then place the path in the path-to-theme box and press install. They will be called "Helios" all of them, but thats just a name you can change by pressing its name in the overview. The paths will be different.

Thanks Bloc for the answer, and for making an awsome skin! I love the additional color choices.

I was able to rename the different color schemes for this theme by accessing the admin control panel, and under 'Forum Configuration' selecting 'Theme and Layout Settings'.
Then from the box on the right titled 'Theme Settings', I selected the first theme titled 'Helios' and that opened a new screen titled ' Theme Settings' and in the second box I found 'Theme URLs and Configuration' I simply edited the value for 'This theme's name: ' and it worked.

As you may be able to tell, I'm kinda new at this stuff, and it was a biggy for me. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I seem to have been missing the news box... found a code in here to make it side by side.. and that made it show.. but.. they aren't the same height.

Is there a way to force the same height for the Userbox and the Newsbox?

Well, you could set the heights to a set value, use inline css in the div's.

But...you say you opened up and changed...there is already an option for setting news either side by side or underneath the userbox, taking into account  if you use a logo too. Of course, if you altered some of the code there, it might not work...

I only made one change.. and that was putting the code you posted to someone else.. in order to make it sidexside...

previous to that.. it wasn't showing at all.... if I changed that code back (to the original.. which you've also posted in here, page 5 of thread, 2nd post down).. then I think it would show at all again.. but I'll try..

I think I have it turned it on, it displays in ther SMF default Theme..

I would check it out.. code is not my strong suit.. I can put in what I am told to put in..
