Love the theme!!!  I only have one issue...mebbe you can help....

The message icon when looking at the list of posts in a forum is Red X'ing on me in the list.   Any idea?   The icons are there when you post, and when looking at the post...but not when you look at the list.

hxxp:bigmikewatters.com/forum/index.php?board=1.0 [nonactive] for an example...

Is it a setting I am missing?

Thanks in advance!  :)

autumn_whis - what I did was copy my forums banner into /public_html/forums folder. Or into the folder that is where SMF is installed.

Then go to your admin page, click on Current Theme, look for "Theme Options and Preferences" then look for the "Logo" field. Just type in the name of the banner, save the settings and then do a refresh of your forum (hit F5). The banner should appear now.

Hope that helps.

I'll try that, Basis!  Thanks.   8)

Basis:  That didn't work either.   :(  Whenever i try and make changes in those fields the theme changes from Helios back to the default theme that came with SMF... and the logo never shows up at all.  :(  :(

I tried putting: nameofimage.jpg in the logo: field, but that didn't take.

Then I tried: nameofboarddirectory/nameofimage.jpg and that didn't take.  And each try make the theme default back to the SMF theme that came with the board.

I put the jpg file in the directory where the board is.  I didn't put it in themes, or in the Helios folder... just in the board's directory.

Any other ideas?

autumn_whispers2me - im fresh out of ideas... could it be a permission issue? did u upload the themes using the theme package manager or manually?
SMF Version: Ver 2.0.8
Running Mods:
SimplePortal v2.3.5 (disabled)
AEVA 7.2 (enabled)
Stop Spammer 2.3.9 (disabled)
Bad Behaviour mod 1.5.17 (disabled)

basis

bloc - no problems with the glowing gif button. i will try to figure a way out.

btw bloc - some of my forum members are reporting they are unable to view the logo banner. while others are able to. i am at a loss to this discrepency. it isn't a permission issue neither is it a ad-blocker issue nor a browser issue (IE, FireFox and other browsers all suffer). Yet I can view it on another version of IE or FireFox. Any ideas or leads?

Thanks in advance.

I used the option to install a new theme and browsed for the file and installed that way.  Does that help?  Is there another/better way to install new themes besides using that option?

Are you sure they just don't have their Shrink header button pushed? Ask them if the triangle is up or down. If it's facing down, then they have it Shrunk and should click on it. That's the triangle to the immediate left of the Home button (if you knew this, I apologize in advance for lecturing!).

Hey Bloc - Great work on this theme!!! I've got this theme running on three boards, two at 1.0.5, one at 1.1 beta 3 Public.  I was going to PM this to you but thought maybe others might have seen this and have an answer.

My issue is small and simple. On the 1.1 beta 3 version, my avatars are being "scrunched" down. They look like they're about 20pt's short of what they were intended for.  For instance, my avatar is 80w x 120 h, and it looks like it's scrunched to 80x100. I've searched all through the AP and can't find any place to adjust avatar settings, and have searched through the files associated with this Theme thinking that possily there's some height restrictions in the Header, but can't find anythere there either.

Weird, but if anyone has any ideas, feel free to share them!

No, this is the easiest..but if you get errors you can rateher upload it to a Helios folder inside Themes and point the second text box to that folder(just add "helios" or what you use to the end of that long path there), then press install.

have you checked the new avatar settings in admin section for 1.1? its quite a bit new and changed ones..maybe the height is set to max 100x100 there?

What version of Helios and SMF? ..and a link would be nice... :)

Quick question, maybe a silly one. If I install the newer version of this very cool theme, will I be able to keep the modifications I've made to it somehow? I've had the last version, but this update sounds to be cooler; more possibilities.

Thanks anyone for any guidance.

Great theme, one problem though, when applaud for karma is clicked I get this error.

An Error Has Occurred!
Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again.

No matter what is done, SMF 1.1 Beta 3 Public.
Thanks.

You will lose them I am afraid...if you simply overwrite the files. You could compare them though and maybe re-apply..its not that many changes.

That was an error on my behalf. You need to use the newer Display.template.php from the archive - it has been updated.

for some reason my top nav bar is off center to the left in my forum
what would be causing that to happen??

I'm sure Bloc will chime in with an easier way to do this, but the way I did it (and you can use temporarily until Bloc tells you a better, more elegant way... ;)) was to go to the table that is set up to hold your menu buttons (on or about line 309 in my editor; I've done some other customization so your line numbers will most likely be +/- 10 or so). Look for the comment:// Show the menu here, according to menu sub template Turn on the border for that first table <table... border="1">. You can now play with the various left/right-margin settings, width, height, etc. After you get the menu tweaked the way you want it, set border="0" on the table, and wah-lah, centered menu buttons.

Cheers!
