This is the best shoutbox for SMF. I was able to install it on RC3 by emulating 2.0. It worked great but the board began to have a ton of [an error occurred while processing this directive] so I uninstalled it and just waiting on compatibility to be restored.

Odd, I think JCS said it was compatible w/ rc3 but just not w/ opera and ie8. Idk why i never thought of trying that though, by emulating you mean 'changing' the version to rc1 or something? (assuming you can do that on 2.x, i haven't done much tweaking since 1.1.4-6.)
This is the best shoutbox, which is why i'm not looking for a replacement. If i had a job i'd donate... if i only had a job.

I used it on firefox, ie8, opera, chrome and safari on windows 7 and mac os x and it all showed up fine. It's just the [an error occurred while processing this directive] errors start appearing intermittently and they get really annoying.

Yes, to get it installed you go to packages and at the bottom you click on advanced and then emulate version delete the RC3 part and install. Once installed revert and your shoutbox is live. I didn't even have to do any manual edits.

It shows up in Opera but it doesn't update, that's probably the main/only problem.

Have you considered PAYING for one that can be done in your time frame?

ASAP=As Soon As Possible, key word "possible" meaning if someone works, goes to school, has a life then ASAPossible could be 6 months

My point was that you're asking someone to do things on YOUR time line when this is a FREE Mod. And your making comments like

This mod will be ready when it's ready and in the Mod Authors time frame not yours. Please just try to think about how long you have NOT had this, if you absolutely can't wait then post in the [PAID] Mod Request Board and have someone make you one. Or just try to be patient and let these Mod Authors do their thing on their time, not yours.

All you have to do is read the last 2 pages (57-58) and you'll see when this will be available for RC3

Guys. English is obviously not his first language. No reason to be so short with the guy. At least he put the effort to try to understand with Google Translate before asking for clarification.

@Euskor - The Shoutbox will be released for RC3 soon, but the creator doesn't know exactly when.

That said, JCS, we can wait. You get your life in order - school and other stuff comes first!
