Well, hopefully someone will step up and take over this mod and continue its development. I have an older version of this shoutbox before Nibogo took it over and changed a few things. If anyone would like to have it (it appears to be working better than the current version), let me know and i'll upload it.

Here is the version of this shoutbox mod (previously known as, Hack's Park Shoutbox) that i'm using, before Nibogo took the mod over.

There are only a few minor bugs in this version that i have noticed (and hopefully someone will be able to fix those and hence make it the perfect shoutbox mod for SMF 1.1.x):

When clicking on the "moderation panel" link within the shoutbox, to edit the shoutbox messages. To try this, you will obviously need admin or correct permissions on your forum to edit shoutbox messages. The problem is that sometimes editing works and other times, when you click on the [Edit] link, nothing happens. This is what needs fixing. And also, editing shoutbox messages doesn't work for all the messages displayed in the popup window. It mostly works for the first and second messages. Clicking on the edit link for the 3rd or 4th message usually doesn't do anything. Hopefully, that will be fixed as well.

If you need a version of this mod compatible with RC3, then you will need to download the current version, updated by Nibogo. The shoutbox version that i have attached to this reply is not compatible with RC3. It is only for SMF 1.1.x

Try to modify the RC3 version on this page: http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1295
It should work with RC4. Maybe try to edit the version in the package manager xml file?

i already did the edit in the info.xml file and the shout is working properly in smf 2.0 rc4 also.

but the problem is it does not have any more support and hence security related bugs will not be patched.

Exactly. Hence why we are now stuck with that, until someone smart decides to pick up this mod to continue its development.

How can I make this Shoutbox show it self on ALL the entire Forum,
boardindex and collapse are in the options but dont know how to call it for it to show everywhere..
